“Wiccan” is a truly special boy with an outstanding temperament and an infectious love of life. He makes friends wherever he goes — human and canine alike — and is known for his easy-going, tolerant nature. He gets along beautifully with all dogs, including entire males and puppies, and is exceptionally patient even with the most persistent or annoying of dogs. Visiting dogs are welcomed into his pack with friendly curiosity and confidence.
At home, Wiccan is wonderfully laid-back and affectionate, happiest curled up for a cuddle or suckling his favourite toys. He has an excellent off-switch and is calm and settled in the house.
When it’s time to work or play, he truly shines. Wiccan excels in flyball, boasting a fantastic toy drive and natural athleticism. He also loves disc work and, with a dedicated trainer, would be phenomenal — some of the catches he produces are simply jaw-dropping. Despite being a larger dog, he is extremely agile and graceful in motion, always landing cleanly and confidently on his feet.
He walks beautifully on a lead despite being a powerful canicross dog, and while never formally trained to pull, he gives everything into a harness whether running or bikejoring. Hardy and robust, Wiccan prefers cool floors over plush beds and doesn’t share the typical whippet sensitivity to cold or wet weather.
He carries a lean, collie-like muscle tone rather than bulky whippet build, giving him impressive strength without excess weight.
