Gatsby absolutely amazing today! We had off leash dogs I did the splitting signal so they didn’t come closer. Forget the humans speak dog is my motto. Gatsby amazing we had staring dogs and he’s got a job finding treats. He has gone from lunge, growl, barking to low level whine. We have rested him a lot. I like to think he’s in less pain. We need to move forward too ❤️

Gatsby’s first walk for a long time following stem cell and Arthramid. You know when your dog is ready for walkies when they jump in the boot of the car and refuse to walk locally. He was amazing today lots of people but more engaged with find it and hay is a wonderful tool for that. Will the pain ever fully go? Can it when you have dysplasia in elbows and hips? It’s a balancing act he’s the calmest he’s been in weeks. ❤️

Gatsby’s last night in France for now. Really missed walking him while he recovers from stem cell. It was honestly too hot anyway to walk him beyond 11. His posture looking loads better thank you Lily Moffatt the pro at understanding his gait ❤️

We had gunfire earlier where my poor Gatsby was trembling. How lovely a couple of hours later to see him just be. We do have traffic sound from the autoroute. A couple of barking hounds but my Gatsby takes it in. My job is not to give you a miracle or guarantees. It’s to accept the dog you have and how best you can both feel safe and develop an incredible bond. Where you look at your dog and they look and you and you go yes that’s what you you want ❤️

Absolutely breaking my heart on holiday and the Belgian malinois next door barks her heart out and clearly suffers from separation anxiety. It’s so hard as they haven’t asked me so I am powerless. I have literally been speaking to her in French trying to reassure her 🤞 she is barking less.

In terms of arousal a red fox Labrador working line would be hard to beat. Loose lead walking is a massive challenge, it is with my dog. Take them to a calm environment; you will see a different dog. No choke chain, no slip lead, not even food is needed. Some dogs have a bath tub as a bucket mine has an egg cup. Pic of me walking my Gatsby not yanking of arm, peaceful ❤️
