All dogs wear a happy hoodie to cover their ears when I dry the dogs and fluff dry, this it make the noise of the drying not seem to loud and makes them less stressed with the drying process.

I clean around the ears and inside the ears as best as I can, any further treatment will need to be done by the vets.

Nails cut the best I can as most dogs don’t like their nails being done, they can sometimes pull and get distressed and if I cut to close to the quick their can be blood and it’s too much for the dogs.

If dogs are matted they may need to be shaved down, I always try and save the dogs coats as I don’t enjoy shaving dogs down. Knots and tangles can sometimes be brushed out. I will always tell the customer and give them a choice when it comes to matted dogs and what the options are.

I am really passionate about my job and the well fair of the dogs I groom. I do everything I can to make the dogs feel as comfortable as possible.

It is so important that long haired dogs are brushed I believe everyday at least twice a day as this will help prevent Matt’s, knots and tangles. This will hurt the dog and pull at the skin causing it to go red and sometimes can block the blood curculation.

Also if dogs are very wet from the rain make sure the dogs are dry and brushed as Matt’s, knots and tangles can happen when the coat is wet.
