🐴✨ Student-Created Enrichment in Action! ✨🐴
Our students have been getting creative with their latest enrichment project, designing and building a variety of exciting stations to enhance our horses’ wellbeing! 🛠️🌿
From a “water buffet” featuring flavours like turmeric, watermelon, seaweed, and chamomile, to slow feeder haynets packed with a nutritious mix of herbs including hawthorn, stickyweed, nettles, hazel, dandelions, and cow parsley — there’s been plenty to explore.
Students also constructed forage boxes and enrichment devices using second-hand materials, following the 3 Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ♻️ while keeping horse welfare at the heart of everything they do.
It’s been fantastic to see their innovation, teamwork, and understanding of equine behaviour come to life in such a practical and engaging way. 👏
