Just a little baby update 👶💕

I’m officially in my third trimester now and about to enter the 10-week countdown 🤯.

As exciting as it is, grooming is definitely starting to take its toll! The pelvic, hip and back pain have made themselves well and truly known and I’m finding that I’m not quite as speedy as I once was.

My plan is to be here until the end of July 🤞, although baby girl may have other ideas, as she’s currently measuring on the 95th centile 🫠.

With that in mind, I’d really appreciate a little extra patience and understanding over the coming weeks. I may need the occasional break, and appointments might take slightly longer than usual while I make sure both I and your dogs are comfortable and happy.

The exciting news is that we have a fabulous new groomer joining the team later this week! 🐶 I’ll introduce her properly very soon, but I’m sure both you and your dogs are going to love her.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be focusing on making sure everyone feels settled and confident ahead of my maternity leave. Thank you, as always, for your continued support, kindness and patience — it means more than you know 🐾🤍

I have some lovely personal news to share — we are expecting our first baby in August 🐣

I’ll likely be going on maternity leave in July (although knowing me, I’ll keep going as long as I physically can 😂). While I’ll miss all of your gorgeous dogs so much whilst I’m off, its such a relief to know I’m leaving all of the dogs I groom in the capable hands of Tillie and Dovile. Both are fantastic groomers who I trust completely. They are experienced, gentle, and truly care about every dog that comes through our doors — I know they will continue to provide the same high standard of care and attention you’re used to until I return!

For those of you with more anxious dogs, or pups who have behavioural quirks or need a little extra reassurance, please send us a message. We’d be more than happy to organise a gradual handover while I’m still here, so your dog can get to know their new groomer with me on hand to help make the transition as smooth and stress-free as possible.

We absolutely love welcoming puppies into the salon and helping them start their grooming journey the right way.
That’s where Puppy University comes in 🎓
Puppy uni is all about gentle desensitisation – helping your puppy get used to the sights, sounds, smells and handling of a grooming salon before their first full groom. This early exposure builds confidence, reduces fear, and sets them up for calm, stress-free grooming for life.
✨ Why desensitisation matters:
Positive early experiences help prevent anxiety around grooming, dryers, clippers and handling. A relaxed puppy grows into a relaxed adult dog – making grooming safer, happier and more enjoyable for everyone.
Puppy University Stages:
🎓 Stage 1 – FREE Intro Session
A short meet & greet where your puppy stays with us for cuddles, fuss and reassurance. Dryers will be running quietly in the background so they can begin getting used to the noises, smells and general salon vibes.
🎓 Stage 2 – Table Time
We gently pop your puppy up on the grooming table for further desensitisation. Includes a nail trim, hygiene trim and eye clear (if needed), plus lots of cuddles and positive reinforcement.
🎓 Stage 3 – Bath & Light Tidy
A gentle bath and tidy, dried using our quiet stand dryers to help them adjust. Includes nail trim, pad trim, eye clear and hygiene where needed.
🎓 Stage 4 – Graduation Day!
Your puppy should now be ready for their first full groom 🎉

Sessions can be spaced out to suit your puppy and can be repeated if there’s anything they find a little scary – we always go at their pace.
