I am having loads of enquiries about the new venture so here's some general information.
There are several ways that we can work together to help your amazing Collie
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
We can meet face-to-face at my training venue at NR11
These appointments are usually an hour but can be longer by appointment. They are followed up with a written email giving you examples and training plans which we have discussed at your assessment or lesson.
The cost of this package is £50 per hour.
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
We can meet to discuss your training needs and plan your training via zoom, I am happy to chat through any videos that require feedback or make an initial assessment using information that you can provide and videos of behaviours that you can send to me in advance.
This zoom call is supported by follow-up email and lessons or videos that we discussed in the call.
The cost for this package is £50 per hour

The next option is for you to join the online Best Border Collie Club which has a monthly subscription of £42 per month.
This online training club contains many modules that will help you with behaviour issues such as
- Calmness in the home
- Car chasing, lunging at other dogs or joggers, bikes etc,
- Spinning, nipping and other frustration issues.
There are scentwork modules
There are modules to give your collie brain work and exercise in your home and garden.
There are training modules for specific skills such as settling on a mat.
There are helpful protocols for Vet visits and other potential stressful situations.
There are games and training ideas, specifically to help collies to be collies.
The subscription can be cancelled at any time from your own membership page
There is no minimum length for you to stay, and you are welcome to join for as long as you need the help.
Coupled with this membership is access to a private Facebook group where you can post questions, your successes and any videos of your training which might require feedback.
You can do this on a daily basis and I am on hand to help every day.
This training club really is a great resource for any collie owner .
Each Wednesday evening, we meet in a zoom to deep dive into specific lessons or training.
I record and post in these zooms in the group so that you can catch up at a time convenient for you.
In the zoom meeting I cover general training issues and answer specific questions that have come up during the week that I feel would benefit a deeper dive to help student’s understanding.

From time to time, there are also spaces available in our face-to-face BEST BORDER COLLIE CLUB.
This is a group which meets once per month in a private venue where collies can work in safe and calm place, away from all distractions if necessary. These face-to-face sessions are supported by weekly feedback and lessons via video and email.
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Of course, there is nothing stopping you from using any, or all of these options mixed together if you would like to.

In 2024, I will also be including work in and around my own sheep for those students who are ready to introduce their collie to the joys of working around sheep .
However, many of the tasks and activities that are available to you in the face-to-face training, the online training, and the best border collie monthly club all have the premise that every collie should use their innate skills in a safe, appropriate collie specific way. We encourage them to work using other ‘sheep’ that allow an outlet for their natural talent and abilities.
My aim in training, collies and their handlers is that collies should be allowed to use their amazing skills in order to create fulfilment, reduce frustration and produce a more balanced collie that can cope with life in a household rather than on a farm.
Many Collies struggle with the routines of family lives, busy households and walks, where other dogs, cars and people are sharing the environment .
You are not alone in your struggles, I totally understand that sometimes you might feel isolated in your own home because it is a challenge to invite friends in to your household. Yet equally it is a challenge for you to leave your household with your collie due to anxiety over their unwanted frustration behaviours.
Sometimes living with a collie can make us feel we are judged and unwelcome in many situations. I am here to help you to understand you most definitely are not alone or to blame for the way that your collie is behaving.

Going for a walk with your border collie was probably one of your dreams. But all too often they are overwhelmed by other dogs, by noises, by cars, joggers, bikes, you name it
