Future vets in the making 🐾
We loved welcoming the Northwood Cubs to Fauna yesterday evening for a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to be a vet.

They listened to hearts, learnt how to bandage, explored X-rays and ultrasound, talked about how to tell if a pet might be unwell… and even met Lauren’s very patient (and very handsome) cat, Vinnie 🐱💙

Seeing so much curiosity, compassion and confidence from the Cubs was such a joy. Supporting and inspiring our local community is a huge part of what Fauna is all about — being more than a vet practice, but a place to learn, connect and share the .

Who knows… we may have met a few future vets and nurses last night!

Dr P getting stuck into a complex gastrointestinal surgery, expertly assisted by Student Veterinary Nurse Lucy — now almost a year into her placement and absolutely thriving!

Moments like this are what Fauna is all about: developing future talent while delivering high-level clinical care every single day.

Travelling to Europe with your pet this year?

The rules are changing tomorrow, Wednesday 22 April.

From that date, EU pet passports will no longer be accepted for travel from Great Britain to the EU. This includes passports issued before 22 April, and those issued in Northern Ireland or any EU member state.

Instead, you'll need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC), issued by an Official Veterinarian.

If you're planning a trip abroad with your dog, cat or ferret, get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can help you get the right paperwork in place.

🐾 A very stylish Arlo today! 🐶

This gorgeous puppy popped in to see us to pick up his flea and worm treatment – and didn’t he look adorable in his Fauna bandana! 💙

Regular parasite prevention is an important part of keeping our pets happy and healthy, even when they look as bright and playful as this little one.

Theo 🐾

This handsome little bulldog came in for his final puppy vaccinations this week – and he absolutely nailed it!

With his vaccine course now complete, Theo is almost ready to start heading out on his very first proper walks. The world is about to get a lot more exciting… new smells, new friends, new adventures!

He’s also officially joined Flora’s Healthy Pet Club, which means he’ll have all his preventative healthcare covered as he grows – from flea and worm protection to regular health checks and exclusive member benefits. Starting strong and staying protected is exactly how we like to see our puppies begin life.

We can’t wait to see Theo out and about, exploring the world with that classic bulldog confidence (and probably a little bit of stubbornness too 😉).
