Hello and welcome to all our new followers! We thought it was the perfect time to introduce ourselves and share a little about the people behind Happy Tails at Jasmine Cottage.

We're Em and Carl, with over 20 years of experience living, working, and caring for dogs. Our journey has been shaped by our own beloved Springer Spaniels, including a rescue dog with complex needs, teaching us the importance of patience, understanding, and treating every dog as an individual.

Nestled in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, Happy Tails at Jasmine Cottage was created to offer something more than traditional dog care. We provide a true home-from-home experience where dogs can relax, explore nature, enjoy enriching walks, and receive personalised care tailored to their unique personalities and needs.

🐾 All Hail Dexter, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi! 🐾

Today, on International Corgi Day, we celebrate Dexter: part comedian, part chaos agent, part loaf-shaped rocket, and 100% beloved.

He may have short legs, but he somehow manages to be everywhere at once. He brings the energy of a dog three times his size, the confidence of a king, and the decision-making skills of a squirrel on espresso.

Whether he's:

Zooming around at improbable speeds or making Em and Carl laugh with his wonderfully ridiculous antics, Dexter turns ordinary days into memorable ones.

The best dogs have big personalities, and corgis seem to pack an entire galaxy of personality into a compact package. The funny moments, the crazy moments, the stubborn moments, and the affectionate moments all add up to the same thing: a dog who is deeply loved and who makes life better simply by being himself.

Happy International Corgi Day, Dexter. May your treats be plentiful, your naps uninterrupted, your zoomies legendary, and your humans continue to adore every wonderfully goofy thing about you. 💛 🐕👑

That’s why we follow a carefully designed 3-step onboarding process, with Steps 1 and 2 completely free and carried out on separate occasions.

🐶 Building trust and a bond - Dogs thrive on familiarity. By meeting us more than once before their trial stay, they have the opportunity to build positive associations with our home, environment, and the people caring for them.

🐶 Safety and wellbeing - The Meet & Greet and Walk & Observe sessions allow us to get to know your dog’s personality, routines, preferences, and behaviour. This helps us provide the safest and most appropriate care possible.

🐶 Transparency and peace of mind - During the onboarding process, owners can see exactly where their dogs will be staying, learn how we operate, and gain a clear understanding of the care we provide. We believe openness and honesty are essential in building trust with both dogs and their owners.

🐶 Reassurance for owners - Choosing someone to care for your dog is a big decision. Having two separate visits gives you time to read through our documentation, ask questions, and ensure you're completely happy with our service before moving forward.

🐶 Positive experiences lead to success - By the time we reach the Trial Night Stay, your dog has already visited Jasmine Cottage twice, enjoyed positive interactions, and become familiar with the environment. Returning to a place they already know and associate with positive experiences helps create a calm, happy, and successful overnight stay.
