🐾 Shy Yogi Bear returned for his post-op check last Friday. Yogi had a balloon 🎈valvuloplasty in April for treatment of severe pulmonic stenosis, a congenital heart problem.

✅ It was good news in that Yogi has been weaned off all heart meds and he should now have a good prognosis (success!) 👍🏻

📸 Yogi is apparently camera shy compared to his sister pictured behind ! 🥰 Big up for Yogi for being a little trooper 🙌

Ellie is a Brussels Griffon, not a breed of dog we see too often. A toy breed named for their city of origin Brussels! 🇧🇪

This stunning breed are susceptible to heart disease so pre breeding screening is advised. 🩺

🌟We Are Hiring a VCA/ANA - pls share 🩺

The ideal candidate will have experience working as an animal care assistant in a veterinary practice but we will consider candidates without this experience if they have excellent animal handling skills, experience cleaning with a good work ethos. A driving licence is essential as some duties will be off site visiting other veterinary practices.

Duties will include assisting with referred cases in cardiology and daily cleaning of the clinical areas and staff room. You will provide a high standard of nursing support to animals and the clients associated with them, maintain a high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation within the hospital.

Benefits

· Part time or full time positions available – 3, 4 or 5 days (8 am-5 pm) per week.

This very handsome boy recently visited us for his referral appointment and quickly won over the team with his good looks. We wish Totoro all the best! 🫶

Some of the CC team completed the Recover training in Advanced life support and Basic life Support last year and the remainder of the team are going to do the training tomorrow.👨‍🏫👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

Recover CPR is the official veterinary CPR certification recognised by ACVECC (American college of veterinary emergency and critical care)

This training will help the team to be fully prepared for emergencies. 🫀📉

Bambi 🐶🐾

4 month old Bambi, a Welsh corgi was discharged after successful closure of the left to right shunting patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) using an Amplatz canine duct occuluder (ACDO) device.

Bambi has a good prognosis now that the PDA had been occluded and we will recheck her in a month to monitor the left heart size and reassess systolic function 🫀🩺

🎉 Happy 10th birthday to Olive 🎉

Olive turns 10 today and is doing so well following a pacemaker implantation at Cheshire Cardiology!🫀🩺

Olive gave 2 grunts and a tail wag to celebrate turning 10 and enjoyed some chicken 🍗.
