🐴 A little business update… 🐴

Firstly, I just want to say a huge thank you to every single one of my wonderful clients. The support you’ve shown TGS Equine has been incredible, and I’m so grateful for every recommendation, booking and enquiry. ❤️

As of 30th July, I am officially fully booked and working back-to-back every day until 13th September! Including my usual “day off”🤯

I am also now at full client capacity and, unfortunately, I’m unable to take on any new regular clients until after September.

Whilst I’m going through this incredibly busy period, I’d really appreciate a little help to ensure I can keep everything running as smoothly as possible.

If I’m coming to ride or teach, please could you ensure:
🐴 Horses are caught, tacked up and ready for me to hop straight on at the booked time.

For yard cover, please could you make sure:
✔️ There is plenty of feed, hay/haylage and bedding available.
✔️ Equipment is left where I can easily find it.
✔️ If I only visit once or twice a week and you usually keep on top of the poo picking, please continue to do so where possible. Unfortunately, I won’t have the additional time to catch up on a build-up during this busy period.

Please don’t worry—this doesn’t mean the standard of care your horses receive will change. ❤️

Every horse will continue to receive the same five-star care, attention and welfare-first approach that I pride myself on. It simply means I won’t have the extra time available for additional jobs outside of what has been booked.

A quick diary update from September onwards…

As my own horse moves onto his new routine, I’ll be blocking out 7:00–8:00am and 3:00–4:00pm each day so I can make sure his needs are met and keep consistency in his routine.

This will not affect any of my current clients who are already booked during these times. However, these time slots will no longer be available for any future clients or new bookings.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and continued support. I appreciate every single one of you and look forward to continuing to provide the best possible care for your horses. 🐴🤍

🐴 Wow… another busy day complete! ✅

21 horses all done by 11am! 😵‍💫 Safe to say it was a full-on morning!

First stop was over to Glebe:

✔️ 3 stables – beds pulled down, fresh waters & haynets made and hung up
✔️ 2 stables fully mucked out, beds left up to dry, fresh waters & haynets made and hung up
✔️ 3 horses brought in from the field

Finn’s fly rug put on ready for turnout, with his hay and water topped up. As I was at Glebe at 6am and the horses that had stayed out overnight were still in the field, my lovely yard owner very kindly turned him out for me later 🥰

Next stop was over to Podington:

✔️ 2 horses fed breakfast
✔️ Fly masks on & fly spray applied
✔️ Turned out
✔️ Field waters cleaned & re-filled

Then it was time for my regular Colmworth yard:

✔️ 13 horses fed breakfast & turned out
✔️ Haylage put out in the fields
✔️ 11 stables mucked out
✔️ Fresh waters & haylage
✔️ Feed bowls cleaned
✔️ Mash & Speedi-Beet soaked ready for later
✔️ Feed room swept
✔️ Feed bags organised onto the shelving
✔️ Shetlands’ haylage & fresh water
✔️ Yard swept

A last-minute cancellation meant I actually had time for a whole hour’s break… so naturally I made the most of it and thoroughly enjoyed a Subway! 😋🤣

Then it was back to Glebe to do Finn for the evening 🤎

✔️ Stable mucked out
✔️ Fresh water
✔️ Haynets made & hung up
✔️ Feeds made & soaked
✔️ Brought in from the field
✔️ Groomed
✔️ Feet picked out & hoof oil applied

Back over to Colmworth for the evening round:

✔️ AM & PM feeds made
✔️ 13 horses brought in
✔️ Horses fed dinner
✔️ Muck heap tidied up
✔️ Yard swept
✔️ Haylage, waters & horses all checked before leaving

Last stop of the day was back over to Podington:

✔️ 2 stables skipped out
✔️ Fresh waters
✔️ Haynets made, soaked & hung up
✔️ AM & PM feeds made
✔️ 2 horses brought in & fed dinner
✔️ Stable area swept

Another long but rewarding day done! 🐴💚

Next stop was over to see Gem 🤍

✔️ A lovely 50-minute hack

Last stop of the day was over to my regular Odell yard:

✔️ 5 horses fed
✔️ 5 fields poo picked

A slightly quieter day than usual, but still a productive one! 💚 Sometimes it’s nice to have a day that’s a little less hectic😅

🐴 Monday & Tuesday’s agenda 🐴

The start of the week has been spent with some familiar faces! 🥰

First stop on both days was over to see Coco & Ella, who are back on holiday cover. It’s always lovely to look after these two again! 🤍

✔️ Breakfast given
✔️ Fly sprayed
✔️ Turned out
✔️ 2 stables mucked out
✔️ Fresh waters
✔️ Haynets made & hung up
✔️ Feed bowls cleaned
✔️ AM & PM feeds made
✔️ Field waters cleaned & re-filled
✔️ Hay put out in the field

Next stop on both days was over to Glebe:

✔️ 7 stables mucked out
✔️ Fresh waters
✔️ Haynets made & hung up
✔️ Yard swept

And, of course, the best part of the day… 🤎

A lovely hack around the fields with Finny. It’s so nice to get out and enjoy some relaxed miles together while continuing to build his strength and confidence. 🐴🌾

🐴 Friday’s agenda ✅

First stop of the day was over to Rushden:

✔️ 12 horses turned out
✔️ Yard swept

Next stop was supposed to be over to Crick… but unfortunately the M1 had other ideas! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Absolute gridlock meant I couldn’t make it this time.

After that, it was over to Northampton to take the lovely Bea out for her walk. 🐶

Thankfully we managed to just about beat the heat before the temperatures really started to climb! 🥵☀️

Then it was back to Rushden for the afternoon and evening jobs:

✔️ 12 stables mucked out
✔️ Fresh waters
✔️ Haynets made & hung up
✔️ Feed bowls cleaned
✔️ AM & PM feeds made
✔️ Yard, feed room & tea room swept
✔️ 12 horses brought in
✔️ Horses fed dinner

Not quite the day I’d planned thanks to the motorway traffic, but that’s one of the joys of working on the road—you never quite know what the day will throw at you! 😅
