2025 has finally given us Bronze Wing Pionus babies which is great as 2024 was a blank year. Currently six weeks old and a right handful but that's the joy of hand rearing these little beauties.

Pearly conures (Pyrrhura lepida) are also being hand reared here at New World Birds UK. These lot are a bit younger than the black capped conures. They'll all be making an appearance at the Pet Parrot Gathering show on 8th July (see previous post for details 😊)

I.will be there with Pi's, Brotos and Conures. If you can make Saturday July 8th it will be a lot of fun for Pet Parrots of all sizes 🦜

As well as our avicultural hobbyist/breeders meetings held throughout the year for the exchange of surplus stock, we also hold the Pet Parrot Gathering, predominantly aimed at owners of Pet Parrots!

This will be the culmination of Parrot Awareness Week - which we are spearheading, to raise awareness about pet parrot welfare.

All owners of pet parrots are invited and encouraged to attend
