Admin/Organiser wanted.
This group was created so ladies could walk their dogs safely in the darker evenings, as a group. Unfortunately, despite a ridiculous amount of interest ( which is why i created this page!) when it came to it hardly anyone actually turned up for walks. I started it when my dog was young but now i can't walk my dog in the dark as he has developed anxiety issues and is slightly reactive so I don't want to damage his training to date. This leaves this group with no one to run it as I started it on my own. If anyone is interested in taking it on I'd be happy to hear from you. I know a few ladies do meet in Kingsthorpe a few evenings a week, unsure whether they will continue this winter. You already have quite a few followers which is a great start to build upon. Obviously as admin you can swap and change things about as you wish. 😁 x

A really lovely walk with the lovely Chris. He is super helpful and knowledgeable as a dog trainer/behaviourist. I have worked with him with zepp and he knows his stuff. And it's free! X

Another FREE Nene Valley Woofs Pack walk!

Sunday the 14th Apr @ 10.30am, Northampton Washlands, NN3 3HJ

So I do a lot of work with the Nene Rivers Trust, and these walks are the most fun I have with them! Their a great way to explore different areas that you might not have known existed. This walk is alongside the river and is a really lovely enviroment for dogs.

These pack walks are suitable for all dogs aged 16wks and up (obviously you can call them short if you have a young dog and need to limit their movement). Reactive dogs are fine so long as they are not seriously aggressive. If you are unsure, please contact me for a chat. I also don’t allow slip leads, prong collars, ecollars or any other type of corrective collar. Face harnesses are OK if required for safety (big dog, little person. lol). If you have training that needs addressing, we can certainly look at that for you, and advise on the walk.

All dogs are kept on lead and you’re fine to hang back if you and your pup need a little space. We have young and old dogs of all sizes here, though people are encouraged NOT to let dogs interact (without owners permission) and this is a nice way to be around likeminded people and enjoy a nice walk (with time to ask questions along the way)

I will be at bradlaugh fields most evenings mon to Thursday throughout the spring, summer, occasionally somewhere different just for a change. A fun offlead walk for about half hour around 6ish, later if too hot. If your interested join the WhatsApp group link to check in to see if anyone is walking. Unfortunately my dog doesn't like the dark would you believe so winter walks can be arranged, but wasnt really a hit last year however I know a few girls meet up in Kingsthorpe acre lane a few times a week through winter, again join WhatsApp group for more Info. Hi guys sorry I've been so quiet. I've been having a few issues with our dog but I'm hoping to get back out soon. So you all know, atm walks are limited to Mon, weds and Fri evenings at the old cobbler kingsthorpe as the only ladies to take any real interest and turn up are from that area. They would love for more to join them, it's generally about a half hour walk. If there are any changes it will appear on WhatsApp so make sure if you are interested you join the group and check in if you want to join. X 😊

A very Yappy new year to all. So unfortunately we are having some training issues with zepp atm we are working through. He is very nervous in the dark would you believe 🤦‍♀️ so although I won't be out walking, please please feel free to reach out to find people to walk with, in whatever area. Just ensure your safety! The WhatsApp group is there to use if you want to. We are hoping to re join next year when we have zepp sorted. Til then happy safe walking guys x

Zepp has really enjoyed meeting his new Friends this week so much so I'm getting a snog for it 😘 thanks ladies for a lovely week of walks. Looking forward to next weeks shenanigans. So after a ponder and a chat with the ladies that have joined the walk tonight, I'm thinking unless we have people confirmed on daily walks via WhatsApp they won't happen. I'm thinking cut off time to confirm whether your coming at about 5.30pm...
Would be such a shame to cancel this as the walks so far have been very enjoyable, with wonderful company.

So going forward I'll message on WhatsApp for anyone who wants to walk that night with a suggested location.
We can choose between bradlaugh fields, Welford Rd Rec for now.
All just a wander round for half hour or so. I'm happy with any of the locations. So no pressure for anyone and I don't have to stand around in the cold wondering if anyone is coming 😁
So I'm now going to lie down in a dark room 😆
