5 years of Parker’s Paws ✨

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing this… FIVE years of Parker’s Paws! 🐾💗

What started as a little idea has grown into something so special, and it’s all because of you - my amazing PP Crew (both two and four legged!) 🐶🐱

Every walk, every cuddle, every muddy paw print… it all means more to me than I probably say enough. This past year, just like the ones before, has been full of waggy tails, happy faces and so much support. 💚

To every single one of you who trusts me with your fur babies, recommends me, messages me, or simply follows along - thank you. I’m so, so grateful. 🥹

I’m really proud of what Parker’s Paws has become… and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. 🐾

March… or should I say the month of the Labradors?! 🤣🐾

What a lovely (and very up and down weather-wise!) month it’s been - sunshine one minute, rain the next… the true life of a dog walker! 🌦️🐶

A real highlight has to be starting the month at Crufts at the NEC with Megan and the amazing Lyra; such an incredible experience and so special to be part of it. I am so proud of them! 💛

Back to the usual routine with lots of familiar faces…

Be aware of these springtime hazards for your pets… ⚠️

With the clocks going forward this Sunday, we’ll all be enjoying more time outside with our pups. ⏰

It’s a lovely time of year, but there are a few seasonal hazards that are worth keeping in mind…

🌷 Spring plants - Daffodils, tulips, bluebells and lily of the valley can all be toxic if eaten
🪴 Garden products - Fertilisers, w**d killers and slug pellets can be very harmful
🍂 Compost & bulbs - Often overlooked, but can cause serious illness if ingested
🍫 Easter treats - Chocolate is always a big no for dogs

Dogs explore the world with their noses (and mouths!), so a little extra awareness on walks and in the garden can go a long way this time of year. 🐶

If you ever have concerns, it’s always best to contact your vet as soon as possible! 💝

Happy Pancake Day, my lovely PP crew! 🥞🐾

Of course our pups can’t miss out on the flipping fun 🤣 so here’s a simple, dog-friendly pancake recipe if you fancy treating your furry friend today 💗

🐶 Dog-safe pancakes (makes 4–6 small ones)

Ingredients:
• 50g plain flour (gluten-free if needed)
• 1 egg
• 100ml water or unsweetened oat milk
• Tiny drizzle of olive oil (optional)

Method:
Whisk together into a smooth batter.
Heat a non-stick pan on medium-low and spoon in small dollops (bonus points for paw shapes 🐾).
Cook for 30–40 seconds each side until lightly golden.
Leave to cool completely before serving.

Safe toppings:
🥜 Xylitol-free peanut butter
🍌 Banana
🍓 Blueberries or strawberries
🥛 Plain Greek yoghurt

Please avoid chocolate, syrup, sugar, raisins or anything containing xylitol 🚫

Festive food warning for our furry friends ⚠️

While we’re all enjoying the treats, tipples and festive nibbles, some of our favourite Christmas foods can be really dangerous for dogs - so it’s important to keep them well out of paw’s reach. 🐾

Things like chocolate, mince pies, grapes, raisins, cooked bones and anything with onions or alcohol are a big no-no! 🚫🐶

If you are worried they have eaten something they shouldn’t have please call your vets for medical advice. 🙏🏼

Let’s keep those tails wagging safely this Christmas. 💗
