A juvenile guillemot was found struggling on Westward Ho! beach and brought into us. We are pleased to report he had no injuries and just needs some TLC before being released. He has been collected by a wildlife rescue for ongoing care.

Lava the Bearded Dragon, was recently rehomed to one of our RVNs after becoming unwell and needing specialised nursing care. He hadn't been eating because of stomatitis (a very sore mouth) and X-Rays showed he had mild metabolic bone disease (weakened bones.) Our RVN, Melissa, who has a special interest in exotics, placed a feeding tube so that Lava could be fed and ensured that the husbandry - nutrition, lighting, substrate, temperature etc was suitable for him in his new home.

If you would like any advice about your exotic pets or are considering homing one, Melissa would be very happy to help.

3rd Time Lucky....🤞🍀

Our rescheduled........ rescheduled date for our Torrington Event 🙄🤣🤩

We still have spaces available for trade stalls. No charge for a pitch, just send a FB message or send me an email to [email protected], I will send you a booking form 😁👍 Pitches include space for a car or standard transit with pitch in front (bigger pitches may be available on request).

We would love to have a bouncy castle on the day, so if anyone has availability I would love to hear from you 😁 This wouldn't be for us to hire and run (as our insurance won't cover it). So we would be looking for a business to supply and run it. Happy for a donation to the charity if you have a good day ☺️💜

On the day:

Fun Dog Show - Registration from 11am - Judging begins at 12:30pm. Please remember this is not crufts, we want to see ALL the dogs, including the mutts & scruffs ☺️😍

Doggy Dash - Back by popular demand is our timed trial sprint, rosettes to 6th place 🤩

"Have a Go" Agility - Put your pooches to the test on our agility course. Welcome to 1st timers and the more experienced. Lot's of fun, and again rosettes for the best 🤩

Some of our EPIC raffle hampers will be up for grabs along with a great tombola with the chance to win some prizes for your doggos 🐾🥳🎉

Dr Dolittle meets Jurassic Park!!

We had great fun at Appledore Carnival yesterday afternoon. Hopefully our resident dinosaur surgeons kept the crowds cool with the water filled syringes!!

We have had a young, female calico type cat handed in to our East The Water practice this morning (Monday 4th Aug) microchip not registered. Found Kingsley house Alverdiscott Rd.

An exhausted juvenile Kittiwake needed some TLC from the Sandymere RNLI lifeguards today. After advice from Witten Park Vets it was successfully released and flew away. Video in comments.😀
