Sad post I'm afraid 🐾
We have had a male cat (entire), brought in to the practice today.
This beautiful cat is ginger and white and was found close to Darlington Road.
The cat does not have a microchip, so we are unable to contact the owner directly.
We understand this is very difficult news, and our hearts go out to the owner of this cat.
We are posting this in the hope of connecting with the family who is missing him.

Over the past couple of weeks, nurses Megan and Hayley have been looking after four little Hoglets.
They were found away from the nest and unfortunately the mother was nowhere to been found.

The hoglets needed feeding milk every 3-4 hours and help with urination and defecation. This meant sleepovers at the nurses houses, which they thoroughly enjoyed. 😊🦔

The little ones are now doing amazingly, eating by themselves and really thriving 😍💞🦔

Important Update for Our Large Animal Clients.

We're writing to let our large animal clients know about a change to our out-of-hours weekday emergency cover.
From Monday 16th June 2025, our weekday out-of-hours emergencies for large animals will be covered by Swale Vets.

This brings our weekday cover in line with the excellent weekend service they already provide for you.
Please be assured that our normal daytime hours and services remain unaffected.

You'll still be able to reach us for all your routine appointments and enquiries during our regular business hours.
We believe this collaboration with Swale Vets will ensure continued high-quality, reliable emergency care for your large animals outside of our normal working hours.
Thank you for your continued loyalty.

*Please note - this change does not affect the Out of Hours cover for Small Animals - this remains the same - Medivet 24 hour Thirsk.

REUNITED WITH OWNER - Stray cat 🐈
We have had a three legged ginger and white neutered male cat handed in. No chip found. He was found in the Beech Grove area of Northallerton.
We are hoping to find the owner this afternoon otherwise he will have to be transferred to Skeldale Veterinary Hospital for kennelling over the weekend.
