*GROOM JOB*
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, flexible, friendly person to join our yard.
The right person needs to be confident and competent around all types of horses, have knowledge of equine first aid, groundwork/lunging, bandaging, plaiting, trimming to showing standard, clipping etc and will have people skills, must be able to work alone and take sole charge but work as a team also. The right person needs to be confident and competent around all types of horses, including mares and foals, and young stock and fit competition horses. We are a private yard with a couple of liveries.
25/ 30 hours per week.. may vary for additional hours week to week depending on days needed and there will be at least one weekend day every week.
Hours divided over 5-6 days.
All yard jobs included.
Must be passionate about horses, welfare and a good attention to detail.
Also extra hours available on competition days would be required on an as and when and possible overnight stays.
Reliability is a must, I live 1 1/2 hours away so everything managed to a tight schedule.
Equine qualifications desired, over 18 but not limited!
Driving license required as no access to public transport.
Competitive rates of pay.
