🔥☀️HEAT STROKE AWARENESS ☀️🔥

With the temperatures rising this week, this is usually enjoyable for ourselves however, it can sometimes become very dangerous for our furry friends as they are unable to regulate their temperatures like we do🐾

Here are a few ways you and your furry friend can enjoy the sun and minimise the risk:

🐾Only walk dogs early in the morning or late at night when temperatures have fallen🐶
🐾Ensure they are moved out of any direct sunlight☀️
🐾Give access to water at all times 💦
🐾Place them on top of a damp towel❄️
🐾Using cooling products such as mats/bandanas/ jackets💦
🐾Use cooler water to wet paw pads, chest and underarms💧
🐾Ensure they are in a well ventilated space with windows open🪟
🐾Use a fan💨

Some common signs of heat stroke include:
panting, drooling, seizures, very red or pale gums, collapsing, vomiting and diarrhoea. If you do notice any of these symptoms seek veterinary attention immediately!🚨

We are taking part in Rabbit Awareness Week, this year🐰 (Monday 30th June -Friday 4th July) We will be running our very own ‘Rabbit Clinics’ from 9am - 4pm everyday with our Nursing Team👩🏻‍⚕️

The clinic will be at a discounted price of £10 and will include advice on bonding, nutrition, neutering, husbandry, behaviour, nail trims and a general health check. You will also receive a goodie bag with educational leaflets and treats✨

Did you know that we are a practice that never sleeps? 🏩 We are one of only two practices in Norfolk who have both the RCVS Accreditation Of Small Animal Veterinary Hospital and Small Animal Emergency Service Clinic🩺 🤯

This means we’ve gone through rigorous external assessment’s to achieve this⭐️ So whether it’s the middle of the night, or anything in between. We have our, out of hours services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so we can always be there to help out our furry friends🐾🩺
