We’re so happy to be celebrating our Talia’s 7th birthday today 🥰!

Just a few months ago we were afraid she wouldn’t make it to this day, but we’re pleased to say she’s doing well and still enjoying life! She’s been thoroughly spoilt with lots of treats and toys and we’re all getting together for a birthday walk in the woods today.

Oh woof is it hot 🥵!

We've had a break from posting for a little while as Mummy had to have some minor eye surgery and needed time to recover but she is feeling all better now and ready to type our pupdates once again!

It's been a very hot few days here. Mummy says it is 30 degrees right now outside 😱. We have been having some early/late walks in the woods, doing scent work inside and even had some doggy ice cream today, yum 😋.

Anyway, time for another shady snooze in front of the fan. Stay cool pawfriends! 🐾😎

Yappy Barkday to our special Great Grandad. 89 today 🥳! We woof him so much and are very grateful to him because he was the one who suggested that Mummy and Netty Nan get a Sheltie all the way back in 1997. Shelties By The Sea wouldn’t exist without him 🥰

Update on Talia:

Yesterday she had another scan at the vets to check tumour growth. It’s still small so the vet was really pleased and she’s had another anti-inflammatory injection which is helping her feel good!

Tally’s 7th birthday is at the end of May so we’re looking forward to having a special celebration and enjoy the summer together and that’s all we can ask for right now 🥰

🐾 Calling all dog experts!

I'm building out the editorial content for the I Love Shelties (iloveshelties.com), a breed awareness and storytelling platform for Shetland Sheepdog lovers. I'm looking for knowledgeable dog professionals to collaborate with.

I'd love to hear from vets, behaviourists, trainers, groomers, and breeders who'd be interested in contributing their expertise, whether that's through a short interview, an expert quote, or a guest article.

Sheltie-specific knowledge is a bonus but not essential—I'm happy to work with general canine expertise and tailor content to the breed together.
