Had to say goodbye to my beautiful girl tonight. Unfortunately the cancer was getting too much and she was ready. Ruby you were loved beyond measure, rest easy now 💔

Donut got invited to a play date with Goldie at the weekend where she got to try out the new The Dog Barn NI . We were very impressed and super proud when she went over the bridge on her own (with some moral support from Goldie 😂)

If anyone can give some responses to this, reducing to 4 dogs max would force myself and other dog walkers out of business, we would have to increase prices and reduce availability. Having the rule imposed in some areas is fair, but most dog walkers won’t take a group somewhere we know it will be busy, as we know our dogs but we don’t know the random ones running about. A blanket rule across the borough makes no sense.

Ards and North Down Borough Council is seeking views on a proposal to introduce a limit on the number of dogs that may be walked simultaneously in public spaces.

The proposed maximum is four dogs per person.

This consultation aims to gather feedback from residents, dog owners, businesses, professional dog walkers, and wider stakeholders before any final decision is made.

I’ve putting this off because I was heartbroken, wee Milo crossed rainbow bridge 😢 he was slowing down the last 6 months but still enjoyed getting out for a wee potter and sniff. Lunchtime walks don’t feel the same any more having walked him 5 days a week for the past 6/7? years. One of the first to join my walks and I will fondly remember getting him to swim at Orlock and him being mischievous round the golf course during lockdown 💔
