“Don’t let his last day be his worst day.” 💔🐾

I recently heard this and I can’t get it out of my head.

One of the hardest decisions we can make as pet owners is knowing when to say goodbye. We hold on because we love them, because we’re not ready, because we hope for one more good day. But sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is put their comfort before our heartbreak.

I am asked every single day ‘how do I know when the time has come to let them go’? The truth is, most of the time, there is no ‘perfect’ day to say goodbye. However I believe it is kinder to let go a week too early than a day too late. We want to avoid an emergency situation if possible.

They’ve given us a lifetime of loyalty, joy, and unconditional love. In return, we can give them peace, dignity, and a gentle goodbye—before pain and suffering take over.

It’s not about giving up on them. It’s about standing by them, right to the very end, and making sure their final moments are filled with calm, love, and familiar faces.

Let their last day be one filled with love ❤️

Because that’s what they’ve given us every single day. 🐾🌈
