✈️🚢 A little something different from Marion! 🚢✈️

Many of you know Marion as the face behind Hillside Kennels, Cattery & Grooming, but you might not know that when she’s not surrounded by dogs and cats, she also runs her travel business, Benkerin Travel! 🐾➡️🌍

Marion has recently qualified as a CLIA River Cruise Champion and, together with fellow travel agent Caroline from Another Trip Away, is holding a FREE River Cruise Information Evening on 27th August at Greenisland Golf Club.

If any of our Hillside customers have ever fancied trying a river cruise, are curious about what they’re actually like, or simply love talking holidays, you’d be very welcome to come along. 🚢🥂

There’s no obligation to book, just a friendly, relaxed evening with lots of information, ideas and first-hand experience.

We love welcoming dogs of all ages, and this lovely lady was no exception. He came in for a little makeover and left looking fresh, fluffy and feeling fabulous! 🥰

✨ We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately… and there’s a good reason! 🐾

July has been one of our busiest months in the kennels, cattery and grooming salon, so our focus has been where it should be … looking after all of your lovely pets. ❤️

🎓🚢 A proud milestone!

Last year, I was incredibly fortunate to be selected as one of just 40 travel professionals from across the UK and Ireland to take part in the prestigious CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) River Cruise Champion programme.

Over the following seven months, I completed webinars, training, assignments and plenty of studying before travelling to Birmingham to officially graduate and receive my certificate.

Although travel is a different part of my working life, I’ve always believed that learning never stops. Whether it’s caring for your pets or helping someone plan the holiday of a lifetime, I’m passionate about giving my very best and continuing to develop my knowledge and skills.

A huge thank you to our amazing team at Hillside Kennels, Cattery & Grooming for holding the fort while I attended training and events throughout the programme. Your hard work, dedication and support made it possible, and I’m incredibly grateful.

I’m so proud to have been given this opportunity and to have completed the programme. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. 💙

We hope everyone is enjoying the summer holidays and making lots of wonderful memories with your families (and four-legged friends too! ❤️).

Just a reminder that after our short closure, we’ll be back open on Tuesday 14th July from 9-5 and ready to welcome all of our furry guests.

💙 A Little Reminder from the Hillside Team 🐾

As we head into one of our busiest periods of the year, we’d just like to ask for one thing… please be kind.

Our team works from early morning until late in the evening caring for every dog and cat entrusted to us. Looking after your pets is, and always will be, our number one priority.

Part of our job also means checking vaccinations and following the policies that help keep every animal in our care safe and healthy. We also have published opening hours that allow us to give every pet the care and attention they deserve. These policies apply equally to every customer and are in place for a reason.

Our team comes to work every day because we genuinely care about animals. All we ask in return is a little patience, kindness and respect.

Please remember that we’re human too. We genuinely care about every pet that comes through our doors, and we’re simply doing our very best every single day.

🐾 Tomorrow and Tuesday are two of our busiest days of the year.

Please bear with us if there are queues or a short wait. We know our car park isn’t the biggest, but we’ll be working as quickly and efficiently as we can to admit and discharge everyone’s pets safely.

We kindly ask for your patience while you wait your turn. Keep your animals under control. Every customer and every pet deserves the same care and attention, and we’ll do everything we can to get everyone through as smoothly as possible.

To our wonderful customers who support us, respect our team and trust us with your beloved pets, thank you. Your kindness, patience and understanding mean more than you’ll ever know, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you. ❤️
