Keeping your dog on a regular grooming schedule isn’t just about looking good – it’s essential for their comfort, health, and wellbeing. 🐾✨

Every dog is different, but here’s a helpful guide:

🐶 Every 3-6 weeks
Perfect for curly, wool, or continuously growing coats such as Cockapoos, Cavapoos, Poodles, Bichons, Shih Tzus and Doodles. This helps prevent painful matting and keeps their coat manageable.

🐕 Every 6–8 weeks
Ideal for breeds that require regular clipping but have lower-maintenance coats, such as Yorkies, Lhasa Apsos and some Terriers.

🦴 Every 8–12 weeks
Suitable for many double-coated breeds that don’t require clipping but benefit from a thorough deshed, bath and tidy to keep their coat healthy.

✨ Remember… waiting too long between appointments can lead to:
• Painful matting
• Skin irritation and infections
• Longer grooming appointments
• More difficult styling options
• In some cases, a full shave-off for your dog’s welfare.

Just a little update to all my lovely clients 💕

I am currently on annual leave until Saturday 27th and am working through appointments and messages as I can.

I have over 60 messages to respond to and will be sorting bookings as soon as possible, so please bear with me. I really appreciate your patience and understanding while I get back to everyone.

❤️🐾 A Heartfelt Thank You 🐾❤️

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of my wonderful customers for their patience, understanding, and support over the past few weeks.

As many of you know, I recently had to make the difficult decision to terminate a groomer’s employment with immediate effect. This meant I had to completely reorganise the diary and significantly reduce the number of dogs I could take each day in order to keep the salon running and cover overheads. During this time, I have not taken a wage for the past six weeks.

To add to the challenges, my bather has unfortunately been unwell and in hospital for some time. As a result, I have brought in new team members to help manage the salon. They are working incredibly hard and learning the bathing and salon routines, but naturally this means things can take a little longer as I support and train them throughout the day.

It has been an incredibly difficult and stressful period, both personally and professionally. Running a business comes with many challenges, and I have been carrying a lot of worry behind the scenes. However, one thing I will never do is rush a groom. The dogs in my care always come first, and I am committed to maintaining a calm, safe, and positive environment for them.

Every dog that visits the salon has access to our large secure garden, fresh water, food if needed, toys, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout their stay. I am trained in dog behaviour, and your dogs are always in safe and caring hands.

While the overwhelming majority of customers have been absolutely amazing, supportive, and kind, unfortunately I have also experienced some very rude and unpleasant behaviour from a small number of people. As a result, there are some customers who will not be returning to the salon. I believe respect works both ways, and I am committed to maintaining a positive environment for both my team and the dogs.

The good news is that I will soon have another full-time groomer joining me, and once they are settled in, our usual timings and availability will resume.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported me through this challenging time. Your kindness, understanding, and loyalty mean more than you know. ❤️

🐾 Important Update 🐾

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am currently operating as the sole groomer within the salon.

As a result, I have had to reduce the number of appointments available each day and, unfortunately, I am unable to accommodate any additional customers at this time.

With the added responsibilities of running the salon alongside grooming, there may be a temporary increase in the time required to complete your dog’s groom. Please be assured that I will not be rushing appointments. My priority will always be maintaining the highest standards of grooming, safety, and providing a calm, stress-free environment for every dog in my care.

Things that can significantly impact grooming times include:

• Repeatedly calling the salon throughout the day
• Entering the salon whilst your dog is being groomed on the table
• Arriving significantly early or late for appointments
• Dogs toileting in the salon and requiring additional cleaning and care
• Walk-in customers booking appointments during grooming sessions

I kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation during this period. Your patience and support are truly appreciated and help me continue providing the best possible service for your dogs. There will be a delay on the messages on social media.

📅 Please remember to PRE-BOOK your appointments wherever possible, as I am unlikely to be able to fit in last-minute bookings.

I am on annual leave from the 10th- 26th June and the salon will be closed.
