Update from Roving RVN Services about Ben ❤️

Yesterday I visited handsome Ben for his monthly pain relief injection.

Ben has battled through kidney disease the last couple of years. His owners wanted to give him comfort and care with minimal stress. Working with Smeaton Vets he is on a palliative care plan. Giving his family quality time and giving Ben a good quality of life.

When visiting I check his heart, chest, weight, comfort levels and his mobility. He then gets his injection and a treat of some chicken!

I report back to his vet, Onneile, with what I’ve observed. She will visit him again soon herself, updating his care plan and giving me instructions for his care as time goes on.

It’s very rewarding to help a pet during this stage in life. Ben is always so patient with me and very forgiving when I interrupt his day 💜🐾

As much as it's sad doing what I do, it's also rewarding helping such loved pets over the rainbow bridge

Run free handsome Louis. From your very first walk it was obvious that you loved a ball and you had the best way of letting me know that you wanted me to throw it again. When you went out with your other 🎾 loving pals you would hide yours in the long grass so they couldn’t get it and then I had to hunt for it!! Always a wagging tail and a big smile on your face when you came out to play and so excited for your walk you refused to sit or lie down in the car, but stood all the way. When you were in the back seat you loved to stand as close to me as you could looking over my shoulder like a back seat driver, making sure I was going the right way.
