Seb the 8 yr old Maine c**n had his 2nd groom with me yesterday.

I love his colouring and temperament, he's such a big softy. 🥰 😺

Seb loves to be outside lying in the garden in the sun so he gets all sorts stuck in his coat.

Seb had the full works including a few mats removed including lots of sticky jacks and bits of leaves and plants, but nowhere near as many as last time, a full de - shed, a sanitary trim, his claws clipped and his ears cleaned.

I also removed a tick which was on his ear, which his mum didn't know was there, now she knows what to look out for.

Seb is on my 8 week maintenance grooms programme which means he gets 10% off the usual price if he stays regular. It also means his coat stays in tip top condition and as mat free as possible.

Little cutie Alex had a lion cut 🦁 with me yesterday.

Alex is 18 years young and his mum didn't want to do the sedation route at the vets because of his age.

We didn't know how Alex was going to handle it, he has always been an outdoor cat until recently and doesn't like to be held. However lick e lix saved the day, again. 🙏 Whilst he chomped on treats, I got to work to get the matted coat off. Then I gave his eyes and ears a good clean. 🥰

Big boy Max had his first groom with me the other day. His owner inherited Max from a neighbour. They do say cats choose where they want to live. 🏡 🐈‍⬛

Max is a 14yr old long haired domestic who is not a fan of being groomed and boy did he let us know. He talked and talked the whole way through bless him.

Max had gotten quite a few mats in his coat so these were removed first before he had a full brush through of his top coat. That was quite enough for Max for one day so we ended on a positive with a bit of cat nip and a lie down.

Then we booked Max in for round 2 to tackle his underside in a months time. 🐾

A nice day off today! Here's a bit of cat spam of my own. My Murphy's favourite spot in the sun (ginger lad) and my little sidekick Lucy, by my side as always 🥰 and late to the party is Ferdie, looking like she could do with a groom herself. Oh well, you know what they say about tradespeople, it also applies to cat groomers! 😂🙈🙊

Third up was Freya, the maine c**n but she wasn't feeling her best self today, so no pics of her today. 🙈

And last of all was Magnus the Maine c**n. This was his second groom with me. Magnus is 8 months old and has just been neutered and had to wear the dreaded cone of shame for two weeks, hence requiring a groom afterwards.

Magnus had mats in all the usual areas that typically cats don't like being groomed by their owners, the arm pits, groin and bottom area. I removed these first then gave him a sanitary trim and a full groom.

Today, as Magnus was older, he was unsure of me and what was going on so his growls and hisses came out. As long as there was a lick e lix on hand though he let me do what I needed to do to make him more comfortable.

After the groom was over, he enjoyed rolling in some catnip and he made friends with me again. 🥰

Honey belongs to Caroline at (if anyone needs a pet sitter, I highly recommend her.)

Honey is 2 yrs old and loves to be outside getting all sorts in her fur.

She had a couple of mats on her chest and back legs removed followed by a full groom and tidy up at the rear end whilst she scoffed lots of lick e lix treats.

We finished her off with popping a flea treatment on her to keep those pesky little critters away.

Some lovely grooms today. 😺

First up was Neco, the white Siberian. Neco is 4 yrs old and his fur had just gotten out of control with his mum and dad, there was no option but to start again from scratch. Neco had some very tight mats all over his body and he was miserable. 😿 He really wanted them off. He had lots of treats and was licking the air with me whilst I clipped some mats out.

Neco is going to have a regular groom from now on at least twice a year to try to prevent this from happening again. 🥰

Winky had his latest groom with me the other day. I have been grooming Winky for over a year now. He's not a massive fan of being brushed but he tolerates our grooms.

This time he had a teddy cut at the vets recommendation to try and help manage his flea problem. This is where we take the fur shorter all over so that it is more manageable and it leaves a teddy-like texture making applying flea products easier.

Winky is on an 8 week schedule as he loves to be outside and gets all sorts stuck in his fur. Because of this and his really thick coat, he struggles with matting and fleas too.

His dad says he has been much happier and more friendly since his new cut, it is also helping with controlling his problem so that's good to hear.

Molly had her regular 3 monthly groom with me recently. She is getting better and better each time and is not as fearful...

Molly had her regular 3 monthly groom with me recently.

She is getting better and better each time and is not as fearful anymore.

Molly has a tummy trim, a sanitary trim and a paw pad trim every 3 months to keep her clean and stop her skidding when she lands from jumping.

Molly didn't run straight off this time and let me stroke her afterwards and take her picture. Progress!

Kobi, an 18 month old maine c**n boy had a groom with me recently.

Kobi's fur was getting all tangled and he had a few mats in places. I spot shaved those out and combed through the rest of his super thick coat. His mum couldn't believe how much loose undercoat came out.

Kobi was a little nervous and unsure at first and went into hiding mode but once he realised what was going on he actually quite enjoyed his groom and lay comfortably on my table.

He was such a gentle giant. His mum has now got the right tools to keep on top of his coat better and he is doing well.
