Good evening!!

I apologise for the long delay in getting back to people regarding their enquires - there has been a lot going on.

We have some provisional dates for the Dartmoor Hill Pony Performance Shows Devon classes for this year! Once they have been firmed up, I will create some events for these. At the moment though, they should be as follows:

29th May 2023 - Dartmoor Hunt Support Club (Cornwood)
25th June 2023 - Torbay and District Riding Club (Redpost)
8th July 2023 - Liskeard Show (Liskeard)
10th August 2023 - Okehampton Show (Okehampton)
2nd September 2023 - Kingsbridge Show (Kingsbridge)
8th September 2023 - Widecombe Fair (Widecombe-in-the-Moor) - PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SHOW CLASS ONLY
20th September 2023 - Ashcombe and District Show (Ashcombe) - PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SHOW CLASS ONLY

We are working on this year's course and as soon as this is completed, it will be uploaded.

Lastly, anyone who does not have a Dartmoor Hill Pony Card - I am in the process of creating an online form to make the process of obtaining one much more slimline - more on this shortly.

As ever, any questions, please ask.

One last post from me today - whilst walking my dogs near Haytor Quarry today the path in front of me was crossed by these beautiful Dartmoor Hill Ponies. The greys sire is Pantmyr Jockscott, a registered Dartmoor Stallion.

News!

Two Dunstone ponies, sold as foals at the Drift Sale in Chagford in October 2019, have now settled happily. One living in Wales and the other in Gloucestershire.

The Piebald mare, Foxworthy Midget, has had a Piebald c**t foal named Harlequin. He is the brother is Summerhills Mouse (pictured) and Summerhills Tinkerbelle.

Tinkerbelle was sold as at the Drift Sale as a two year old and then broken in at four by her new owners before being sold on to make a child's riding pony. Harlequin will have a lot to live up to as both his siblings mare wonderful children's ponies, both attending pony club and the like with their young riders.

Dartmoor Hunt Supporters Club.

This show was held at Cornwood on the 29th May 2022. In the Dartmoor Hill Pony Performance Class we had two Dartmoor Hill Ponies winning the special rosette.

Lady, an elderly Bay mare (23 years old!) who thinks she is not over the hill.

Leighbridge Storm, an 11 year old grey gelding.

Congratulations to you both.
