🧺✨ NEW AT PET CONNECTION — KIFRA LAUNDRY PERFUME! ✨🧺

Okay… we know this isn't technically for the pets. 👀

But considering how much washing comes with owning them, we think it absolutely belongs here. 😂🐾

Meet Kifra Concentrated Laundry Perfume — add just a tiny amount to the fabric softener compartment of your washing machine and enjoy gorgeous, long-lasting fragrance on your clothes, towels, bedding, dog blankets and more.

💧 Just 2.5ml per standard wash 🧺 Up to 80 washes from a 200ml bottle ✨ Long-lasting fragrance 🔥 Scent remains even after tumble drying 🌸 Loads of gorgeous fragrances to choose from

And the best bit?

You don't have to commit to a big bottle to find your favourite!

We've got 10ml samples, 25ml minis, full-size 200ml bottles AND discovery packs — so you can work your way through the scents until you find the one. 😍

Although we suspect the real problem is going to be choosing just one…

🐾 Dog bedding
🛏️ Human bedding the dogs definitely aren't allowed on
🧺 Towels
👕 Clothes
🐶 The approximately 47 blankets every dog owner somehow owns…

Laundry day just got considerably better. ✨

🚨 URGENT SCAM WARNING FOR OUR CUSTOMERS 🚨

We have been made aware of a fraudulent website operating under the name "Jasper Homeware" that is actively trying to scam pet owners.
They have illegally copied our website, stealing our exact product photos and descriptions word-for-word—including our exclusive own-brand dog food and treats.
This is a fake storefront. They are advertising artificially low prices in Euros to trick shoppers into entering their credit card details. They have absolutely no stock of our items.

Please remember that our exclusive Pet Connection ranges are only available directly from our official store. We do not supply this company, and we will never ask you to purchase our own-brand products through a third-party homeware site anywhere in Ireland & UK.

We are currently taking legal action to have this fraudulent site taken down permanently.

If you are ever unsure whether an online offer is genuinely ours, please send us a message before checking out.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and helped bring this to our attention. Please stay safe and feel free to share this post to warn other pet owners!

We don’t sell Years dog food at Pet Connection, but we know some of our customers do feed it. Understandably there’s been a lot of concern following the recent recall and reports of sudden bilateral dry eye in some dogs.

We’ve put together a detailed, evidence-based guide covering:

• What Years has recalled and why
• The symptoms of dry eye to watch for
• What is currently known — and what is not yet proven
• Why buckwheat and fagopyrins are being investigated
• Why this does not mean every food containing buckwheat is unsafe
• Why processing can matter with ingredients like buckwheat
• What to do if your dog has been eating Years
• How to choose an alternative food if you’ve decided to change

We’ve also included a section for anyone who has become a little uneasy about boutique-style, fresh or minimally processed diets following this.

An ingredient list full of fresh meat, vegetables, herbs and “superfoods” can sound very appealing, while ingredients such as maize, rice, meat meal or protein isolates can sound less impressive.

But an ingredient list doesn’t tell you who formulated the food, how extensively it has been tested, what quality-control systems are in place, whether digestibility has been studied, or how much nutritional research sits behind the finished diet.

For some owners, choosing a more established, science-led food from manufacturers such as Hill’s Science Plan or Royal Canin may offer more reassurance overall — even if the ingredient list looks less fashionable.

Most importantly, there is no reason to panic simply because your dog’s usual kibble or wet food contains buckwheat. The current Years investigation does not establish that all buckwheat-containing foods carry the same risk, and the exact cause of the reported cases has not yet been confirmed.

We’ll keep the guide updated as more information becomes available.
