We’ve been completely overwhelmed by the kindness and support so many people have shown towards our new ferret rescue. A lot of people have asked if there’s an Amazon wish list to help, so we’ve added the link below for anyone who would like to support the rescue and the ferrets in our care.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3JQRVO3F8KUOI?ref_=wl_share

We’ve also included our donation link for those who would prefer to help that way. Every single donation, gift, share, and kind message truly means the world to us and helps us continue giving these beautiful animals the care, safety, and love they deserve.

We’re also so happy to share that one of the females has already been rehomed into a loving forever home. ❤️ Thank you all again for being part of this journey with us — we genuinely couldn’t do it without you.

We’ve been nominated for Best Activity Provider in the 2026 Red Funnel Awards! Red Funnel Isle of Wight Ferry 🦉✨

What started as a passion for birds of prey has grown into our whole life. We truly eat, sleep and breathe what we do, and along the way we’ve been lucky enough to meet some absolutely amazing people.

We love sharing our birds and our passion with you all — whether you’ve watched one of our flying demonstrations, laughed along with our husband-and-wife banter, taken part in one of our experiences, joined our home education sessions, welcomed us for an educational visit, met our birds on site, or walked our beautiful ferrets.

If you’ve enjoyed what we do and would like to support us, we would be incredibly grateful if you would consider voting for us in the 2026 Red Funnel Awards. Your support means the world to our small family business. ❤️

🐾🚨 URGENT SUPPORT NEEDED — WE APPEAR TO HAVE ACCIDENTALLY STARTED A FERRET CARTEL 🚨🐾

We currently have six rescue ferrets in our care and have now discovered that two of the jills are pregnant.

Unfortunately, this came as complete news to us, as we had absolutely no idea the females had previously been housed with a male. So within the next few weeks, we may go from “a few rescue ferrets” to numbers that are honestly becoming slightly alarming.

For context, we already care for 34 birds at the falconry… but at the rate this is going, between our own ferrets, the rescues, and the unexpected kits, we may soon need to rename the place “The Ferret Experience” — or simply admit we are now operating some kind of ferret cartel.

Sadly, these ferrets had completely run out of options, so saying no was never really possible.

But between daily care costs, unexpected vet bills, and now preparing for kits, we are desperately in need of extra support.

At the moment, we cannot safely neuter the males until we have secure separate recovery spaces available, and the pregnant females also need quiet, safe areas where they can give birth and raise their kits properly.

⚠️ We are specifically looking for GOOD CONDITION HUTCHES, SHEDS, OR SECURE OUTDOOR HOUSING because ferrets are tiny furry criminals with advanced engineering skills.

If there’s a weakness in a hutch, they will find it. If there isn’t one… they’ll create one.

Maximum security is absolutely required for these for these fur-covered noodles running entirely on Red Bull and bad decisions.

We would be incredibly grateful for donations of:

• Good condition hutches
• Sheds or secure outdoor housing
• Towels or blankets
• Bedding — sawdust, straw, etc.
• Food
• Cleaning supplies
• Any other ferret care essentials

Any hutches or supplies can be dropped off Friends of the Animals in the Industrial Estate, Newport, or Robin Hill.

Sadly, with the huge increase in dumped and unwanted ferrets over the last year, this is no longer a temporary situation. The falconry is now starting a dedicated ferret rescue to help unwanted ferrets, provide rehabilitation where needed, and responsibly neuter and rehome them.

If you would prefer to help financially towards vet bills and rescue care, donations can be made on the link below.

https://pay.sumup.com/b2c/QP01XIPO

Every donation, share, and item genuinely helps more than you know and allows us to continue giving these rescues the safe care they deserve.

Thank you for supporting us, the birds… and now apparently our rapidly expanding ferret empire. 🐾

My life is becoming increasingly unhinged by the day. Clearly I love chaos and don’t believe in the simple way of life. Whatever sanity I had left, the ferrets now own.

Additional donations of cake, coffee, and possibly a static caravan for one on a quiet piece of land would also be greatly appreciated.

Celebrating 100 years of Sir David Attenborough a man who has spent his life protecting the planet, educating generations, and showing us the beauty and fragility of the natural world.
This is the one man who never had to convince us to be on his side.
No slogans.
No campaigns.
No empty promises.
No scandals.
No ego.
No division.
Just honesty, wisdom, wonder, and a lifetime dedicated to something bigger than himself.
While politicians argue, councils debate, and parliament chases headlines and power, Sir David Attenborough earned something far greater — genuine respect from generations across the world.
He reminded us what truly matters. 🌍🦋🐋
100 years of wisdom, humility, and truth.
A real hero in every sense of the word.

🐾Calling out to all our ferret loving customers! 🐾

🚨 Emergency Foster Needed 🚨

We’re looking for a foster home for a young Jill ferret who urgently needs somewhere safe to go. Sadly, she cannot live with other ferrets as she does not get along with them.

She’s currently on her way to us following an incident earlier today which has made it unsafe for her to remain where she was, so this is quite urgent.

She’s been living as an indoor ferret and absolutely loves home comforts. Very friendly girl, used to handling, walks on a harness, and enjoys human company.

Unfortunately we are already at full capacity after taking in 5 rescue ferrets on top of our falconry ferrets, so we simply do not have the space to keep her ourselves.

If anyone may be able to help by offering a foster space, please message us directly.

⚠️ NEW ADDITION POST – THE NON-PROFESSIONAL KIND ⚠️

Nothing yesterday went to plan. At all.

By 9am I was already questioning every life decision that had led me to this exact point in life.

Started the morning by dropping one of the eldest at school because he “didn’t want to catch the bus”…
which immediately made us late for the absolute chaos already waiting ahead.

ONLY for him to apparently decide education wasn’t for him and end up an hour later at Robin Hill…BY BUS!

Every traffic light turned red.
Road closures… let’s not even go there.

Honestly, the universe gave me about 10 warning signs to turn around and go back to bed…
and I ignored every single one of them.

Meanwhile…
we had a NEW OWL arriving.

Now normally this would be exciting.

Except thanks to the bank holiday, we’d had zero time to prepare, so operation:
“move every bird known to mankind before lunchtime”
began.

ARI, the eagles, and Deedee the aviary destroyer all needed moving around too.

Deedee was getting an upgrade because apparently criminal damage now earns promotions.

Then the eagles decided they personally wanted to test my will to live.

Kailani spotted a wheelbarrow and reacted like we’d rolled in with a military tank.

One second she was calm.
The next she transformed into a feathered Apache helicopter.

There’s me spinning in circles trying not to get wiped out by eagle wings while Kailani looked at me like I was the dramatic one.

By the end of it I was so dizzy I needed a minute to reassess my entire existence.

Then came Dylan the eagle.

I walked in feeling confident and immediately found myself in a WWE title fight.

His finishing move?
A full-force wing slap directly round the face.

Honestly, at that point an office job and a quiet spreadsheet started sounding appealing.

BUT WAIT.

Its baby Dylan's time....

Dylan refused to be put down, so I thought:

“Lovely little walk round the park will settle him.”

And maybe act as some kind of emotional reset for myself.

WRONG.

That child exploded.

Not just emotionally either.

So there I am dragging a pushchair uphill through Robin Hill gravel that apparently doubles as anti-vehicle terrain, carrying Dylan under one arm like a screaming sack of potatoes, absolutely covered in chaos…

when a squirrel suddenly runs out in front of me.

That squirrel received a very non-PG greeting and probably went home to warn the rest of the squirrel community about the angry redheaded woman carrying a screaming potato.

Dylan stopped crying purely because he found my suffering hilarious.

At this point I fully understood why people say:

“Never work with children or animals.”

Unfortunately my entire career appears to be based around ignoring that advice.

After an emergency child change and what can only be described as a workshop sink bath, we finally got back to the job.

The new owl arrived.

And we were STILL nowhere near ready for him.

At this point my stress levels had reached:

“Ozzy Osbourne reality show meltdown.”

After 15 minutes of pacing round swearing at absolutely everything, plus an emergency coffee, we attempted the aviary rebuild.

First job:
remove old perches.

The drill dies.

So on charge it goes while we take a short “re-group before somebody snaps” break.

Except the drill wasn’t dead.

The motor had completely packed in.

More wasted time.

Mike looks at me and LAUGHS.

Honestly, at this point I nearly handed in my resignation from falconry and started googling “one-way ticket destinations.”

And because the universe enjoys comedy…

baby Dylan wakes back up.

Somewhere in the middle of this disaster we started discussing names for the new owl.

By this point I’d mentally left my body, so I announced:

“Whatever brand of drill turns up next, that’s what the owl’s being called.”

Would also like to formally apologise to the PC consultants who came to fix the WiFi and instead witnessed what can only be described as a live documentary on stress, sleep deprivation, and bird-related violence.

Nothing says “professional business environment” quite like screaming at a squirrel while carrying a baby covered in poo.

4pm arrives.

Nothing has been achieved.

Finally, a new drill turns up and suddenly the two-hour job that had consumed our entire existence gets finished by 6pm.

AND AFTER ALL THAT…

The owl hates his new perches.

Ignored the massive stump we dragged halfway through the park.

Ate his food.

Then sat in the corner looking like a very pleased duck.

Completely happy with himself while the rest of us looked like survivors of a small natural disaster.

So this wasn’t the usual “welcome our beautiful new owl” post…

But after the single most chaotic day known to mankind…

Please welcome Mac the Indian Eagle Owl. 🦉

🐾🦅 **A Very Special Arrival at the Falconry Centre…** 🦅🐾

Not all new additions come with wings…

Meet Blue & Delta — our beautiful new “raptor pups” and the latest recruits to the team! 💙

These two sisters have an important mission ahead. As our centre has always been a no-dog zone, Blue and Delta will be gently helping us introduce something completely new—carefully and gradually desensitising our birds to the presence of dogs.

With patience, trust, and lots of positive training, they’ll become a vital part of daily life here. And if all goes to plan, they could even help us take an exciting step forward… transforming the centre into a dog-friendly walking space in the future. 🌿🐕

They may be small now, but they’ve got a very big job ahead of them—and we couldn’t be more excited to have them on the team.

✨ Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Blue & Delta! ✨

So many of you have been asking about Dylan since we reopened… and we’ve got good news!

Our boy is back — and looking absolutely stunning!

He’s currently on a diet after his winter molt, but it won’t be long before he’s back to ruling the skies at Robin Hill

Make sure to stop by and say hello when you visit the park — you’ll find Dylan alondside Kailani, our bald eagle, on the weathering lawn 💚
