Horses due to their highly sensitive nature respond strongly to the energy of people and reflect back their emotional states. Interacting with horses can help identify communication issues, and encourages authenticity. We explore issues through observing the horses and in led activities with and around the horses. I also offer Bodywork sessions for horses, being truly present with the horses whil

e drawing from various techniques of bodywork, addressing emotional and physical issues . I have a lot of experience and special interest in working with horses who have suffered trauma. I have worked with a lot of ex racehorses, helping them to open up to a new life and find relaxation in their mind and body. I
Originally I started as a human Massage therapist over 20 years ago. Having had horses all my life I was inspired by the work of Linda Tellington with whom I trained in 1997. Encouraged by her, I started to use Ttouch and massage techniques on my horses with great results. Some years later I discovered the amazing benefits of the Equine Touch technique and trained to be a practitioner. Having been a bodyworker for many years I combine my knowledge and various techniques, while working intuitively. I also tune into the relationship of horse and owner, also considering the history of possible past traumas affecting the present. I have a degree in Counselling and bring this knowledge into my work. My approach is based on helping the horse ( and owner to relax and release tension with the aim to find balance and harmony in the body, as well as teaching the owner/ rider how to detect tension in their horse .. and then finding ways to relax together.

Ex race horse mare receiving her first ET session, big picture taken after sesson , 1st small picture before session ....She started releasing tension immediately and throughout the session... like so often after the fascia release the horse's body seems to 'expand' as the contracted tissue relaxes and the lymph flow is activated. The body starts remembering balance, stress and memories are released..... Great to have a cooperative owner who will give her the love, time and ground training to find balance and build the right muscles.
