Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely Easter, we are back to normal opening hours today 😃 We have spent our weekend just trying to catch our breath and gather ourselves after our devastating loss of Blossy last week. Graham and I want to let you all know, that last night our beautiful Blossy gained her wings and flew over the 🌈 bridge 😢 What started out as a simple wart removal and test of a ''fatty lump'', turned into every pet owners worst nightmare, when the results came back, that what she had was a nasty aggressive type of cancer 😢 There was nothing that either we, or her vet could do to help her this time 🙁 We weren't prepared to allow our girl to suffer, so ....... last night, in her own bed, in her own house, with her own vet and her family that loved her so dearly by her side we did the only thing we could and we let her go 🥺😓 She only had 3.5 years with us, but those few short years brought both us, and her so much joy and happiness, 🥹 Our hearts are truly broken. Fly high our sweet, sweet Blossy, free now, no more pain 🌈 x

I absolutely detest these things, they are banned, they should not be on sale to the public and are only allowed to be used by professional pest control companies. If you see any for sale, please report it to trading standards :'(

We recently shared with you how we had taken in a robin that was found stuck to a glue trap, unfortunately we were devastated to see another victim of these traps so soon afterwards – this time, a wren. We were able to carefully remove the wren from the trap and provide the necessary care for her to make a full recovery and be successfully released back into the wild, but once again this incident serves as an important reminder that glue traps are not only extremely harmful to wildlife, but they are also illegal to use unless carried out by a licensed professional. We strongly urge the public to avoid using these traps altogether, as they cause unnecessary suffering to animals. Despite their small size, wrens are known for their loud, powerful song, which can be heard from quite a distance, and we were delighted to get this one back to full health and into the wild again.

We will be waking up soon and will be looking for food so please be careful not to crush me in the evening at nightfall 🌙 on the roads 🚘, my little paws don't allow me to run fast....
I'm harmless and a chance for your garden to flourish as I eat the snails that will destroy plants in your garden 🍓🍅🥔🥕so please don't put pesticides down. When tidying up your garden please inspect 👀 👓 small corners, foliage, shrubs and bushes in order not to hurt me with your mower or gardening equipment.
If you spot a hedgehog out in the daytime then they are in need of help, please call your local wildlife rescue.

Good Morning you lovely lot :D Apologies for the radio silence since Christmas, but I am not a great one for social media posts, so going forward Sharon will be updating the page for me (she likes a facebook post or three 😅😂) Anyhooo ..... I wanted to let you all know that On Saturday 19th April 2025 it will be our 6th birthday on your lovely high street 🤯😳 Looking back on our 6 years, it's been a real rollercoaster ride at times. We have dealt with a global pandemic, we had to change the whole way we worked and instead of you lovely lot walking through our door, we were standing on yours to deliver your pet food. We had the invasion of Ukraine, the death of our beloved Queen a new King, and a new Government (we won't say much about that), now we are all facing a cost of living crisis :( ......... Times are hard for all of us, but we are still here thanks to you lovely lot, coming in week after week to buy your pet supplies and support us. So, as a massive THANK YOU to all of you, as we approach another yearly mile stone on the 19th April we will be giving our customers a 6% discount on all KONG toys bought on our Birthday :D ....... Our gorgeous girl Blossom Aldis absolutely rocking her custom made elf outfit from the fabulous The Long Dog Shop ........As you all know Blossy came to us from Animals In Need Northamptonshire almost 3 years ago ......... it's been a journey (and a half 😕 ) but we are so thankful to our wonderful rescue partners for allowing her to adopt us ...... we really couldn't be without this little orange eating, liquorice allsort pinching whirlygig ❤ So please help us to help all the other pets without a furrever home this Xmas by buying some of our raffle tickets when you pop n today ❤ x Much love x
