NEGATIVES
1. Our Barn Drains are on soakaways. It’s a bonus because there’s no sewerage charge on the barns. However, contaminants of sand and shavings cannot be simply brushed down the drains and ‘forgotten about’. Catchers have to be lifted out and emptied daily, Main drain has to be pumped out monthly with a mud pump.
2. Our access is readily accessed by vehicles up-to ‘muck-away’ lorry size. ‘H.G.V. Coach-Horseboxes’ are not able to access the premises.
Supply lorries using 16.5 tonne vehicles unload at the head of the private access driveway 70 metres from the barns and then Moffat pallets into position. No problems there.
