Hope all are well during these difficult times. Here is some positive news from Exeter stables!!
Many are reaching out today to mum as she had her final scans done two weeks ago to see where she lies with her cancer update and future prognosis.
She is undoubtedly exhausted from a stressful few weeks wait so she has requested to just have a few days peace so please allow this very busy extraordinary lady just a little time to absorb, breathe and rest.
Here is an update on her recent cancer journey. As most know she has had an extremely tough year, starting with being diagnosed with a very large brain tumor and lung cancer last June. Originally we were told they didn’t have high hopes of a positive outcome and we were told her brain tumor was inoperable.
Because of the severity and quality of life they decided to risk removal and she had major brain surgery a few days before her birthday June of 2019.
My mum is a trooper, the strongest women I Know and within 3 days of a very successful surgery she was shopping in Tesco’s!!
Following surgery she did an extensive course of chemo followed by radiation on both her brain and lung. During this lengthy and exhausting process she continued to work with the horses and be the matriarch of Exeter stables not once taking a day off or retiring to her bed.
Her strength and tenacity are truly what have pulled her through an extremely rough year.
So back to the phone conference today, we have very positive news!! She is all CLEAR apart from a small lesion/scar tissue on her lung. She will have a follow up in 3 months but her oncologist is delighted at her progress.
Our family would like to thank those that have supported her through this journey. Mum, James, Charlotte, David and I truly are grateful.
We love you Mummy!!! ❤️❤️❤️
