Just a little appreciation post for one of my clients, I love all my dogs the same but I just want to show how dedication, effort and love can really help your pooch🐾
Chester is a very curly poodle who came to me due to not being able to be groomed by other groomers, he is the most loving playful dog on the floor but as soon as he was on the table he became stressed and anxious,Chester had fear aggression towards grooming and it’s something he really disliked
Chester came to me matted due to not being groomed for a while which made his first experience with me stressful for him, I was unable to groom Chester fully and had to send him home half groomed🫤
I knew he was a lovely dog and his fear just got the best of him, so we kept trying and trying with Chester taking him back to basics and starting all over again
Fast forward a few months later and Chester now comes in with a waggy tail and is groomed almost perfectly, he still isn’t keen on some of the grooming process but he is like a changed dog, he even lets me touch his feet😂 which his owners will know this is his biggest fear
I am sharing this experience in the hopes of anyone els struggling with their dog will see it is possible with love, time, care and a whole lot of patience
Chester’s owners have gone above and beyond for him, they listen to my feedback and honesty is key from your groomer, they try different things at home, they come to regular grooming appointments and they don’t expect miracles. A process like this takes time and they have always been backing me from day 1 and this just shows that building a relationship with your groomer is very important and I appreciate them trusting me with him❤️
And this is Chester now which is a huge improvement🫶🏼
