DUE TO THE MASSIVE DEMAND FOR OUR SERVICES WE NEED EXTRA SPECIAL PEOPLE TO COME AND JOIN OUR TEAM OF SITTERS

Do you want to work with cats?
Get great money for it?
Be happy in a job where you are respected and valued?
Work at your own pace?

The ideal candidate would be available between Monday - Sunday 6-00-11.00 & 16.00-21.00 on a flexible, rotational basis.

This would NOT suit anyone who has a job or other commitments during those core hours or days. Please do not apply if you have.

Cat sitters are self employed and are paid per cat sit. During the busy periods you would be expected to sit for at least 10-12 homes in a morning or afternoon period. You have the flexibility to start within the core times however must be finished by 11.00 or 21.00

Candidates must be able to drive with a car

Have a clean criminal record (checks will be required)

Use a smart phone confidently

Have experience with cats, behaviours, and will be expected to give medication if required.

It is preferable you live within the area where cat sitting is required to maximise your sits and be near by for the Adhoc visits that come in.

The sun has been shining and everyone has been thinking about their holidays. Whether it’s an Easter weekend away or a month cruising around the Med we have your cat care covered. We have an easy to use portal where you the customer can book and make changes to your cats routine.
Reliability is so important to us and being able to provide cat care for everyone 365 days a year. Just ask Trixie. Her mum knows she can book a few hours before and we will be there.

Come and join the Itty Bitty Kitty party at Boss Mog. As part of our new office we have a bijoux kitty gift shop for spoilt cats and kitty lovers. It has been carefully stocked with lovely kitty bits. From vintage to retro, cat games to cat bowls we are delighted to offer something alittle different to our ever growing cat lovers. Based in Killingworth on a brand new business complex we are retail only and will not be selling online. This is to encourage you to meet us and chat about our favourite topic. We of course will make adjustments to our customers who can’t make it to our shop and want to buy something. By coming into the unit you will also get a chance to view our fabulous reflection tree. This will eventually be covered in photos and lights of our dearly loved cats who have passed away. We also are keen to encourage people to visit us to promote the other small businesses on the complex and get back to the community spirit that once was before online shopping was a thing. Our official opening day will be 7th April 2025 however we will showcase our lovely shop up until then. No prices for now. That’s for when you come in 😘😘

I’d like to say a big thank you to Scrappy's Pet Crematorium for looking after 2 of my customers in the past few weeks. They collect your pet from the vets or home after they pass and they have a lovely reflection room where you can visit your pet and spend time with them before they go onto their final journey of being privately cremated. Mel and I went yesterday to say goodbye to Teddy and we were able to stroke him, kiss him and have him cremated with red roses for love ❤️. The owners of the company were lovely and very patient and understanding of our grief for Teddy. The company is local (Benton) and I believe a lovely asset to have on our doorstep to help with our grieving process.

Pet grief is a real and painful experience. It’s very much overlooked by society and often ridiculed as being one of the most ridiculous things you could possibly ever depress over. “Oh it was just a bloody cat, get over yourself” I once was in a chat with 2 other people years ago. One person had been up all night because their son was unwell and the other was grieving the loss of his cat from the night before. I’ll never forget the person one’s response. They turned to me and said “I can’t believe they would think that their cat dying is worse than me being up all night with my poorly son”. I think about that conversation often.
We have shared a painful few weeks with our customers with their own pet grief. I want to thank them whole heartedly for one giving us the opportunity to love and care for their kitties and also for letting us know they have passed. There are lots of times we don’t get to know and that’s fine. It’s a personal journey. I would like to celebrate the lives today of these wonderful boys who we have loved and cared for and who have left us this week with pain in our hearts and tears like you wouldn’t believe but such a privilege to care for x RIP boys Eric, Jangles and Teddy xx

Due to a huge demand for our services we are looking for people to join our ever growing team. This is a self employed position and due to the work load, Ideally you would not have other job commitments as the times needed to fulfill sits between the hours of 0600-11.00 and 1600-2100
Monday to Sunday. Please also take into consideration we work Christmas Day.
We will consider candidates who do have other work commitments but can cat sit within those times without any issues or detriment to Holiday Kitty Cat Care.
This is a very demanding but rewarding role and we are looking for hardworking, cat loving people who are prepared to go the extra mile.
