It is with such sad regret that after almost 15 years since the seed of Pet Sit Services was planted and went on to thrive and be a successful business loved by our customers and their pets, I have to say goodbye and close the door due to no fault of my own, as a lot of you are aware I got married and moved to the Scottish Highlands a few years ago, I didn’t want to close the business id grown and nurtured for so long so I entrusted the help of a friend and neighbour of over 30 years to help us with the cat sitting duties, that person as a lot of you will have come to know as David, I trusted David implicitly with every aspect of the work and taking care of the pets. Last year I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease after a tick bite in Scotland and sadly treatment did not work for me, I am now suffering long-term chronic symptoms which can make me very unwell. I got a phone call a while ago from a long-term loyal customer asking me if I was aware that David had dropped off keys and messaged customers informing them he was no longer working for me and had set up on his own, this was all unknown to me, as you can imagine how upsetting this is to not only have a trusted friend betray you but steal your whole client base of customers to set up his own business and without even a message or phone call, Who does that to people? That Is NOT how I was raised, I would not dream of hurting someone or snatching away their hard-earned dream born from my love of animals, I have had my trust in mankind broken totally.
I hope if you choose to stay with David to take care of your pets that you will ensure he is insured, as I insured him through the business but that of course is void now. We all have choices and I wouldn’t dream of trying to engineer someone’s opinion or choice, I thought we all had principles but it seems how wrong was I about a person?
