KIMBERLEY ROCK MONITOR 🦎
We have one of these gorgeous monitors back in store!! Kimberley’s are a small/medium species that are native to Australia, that thrive in an arboreal setup with a high humidity (and the typical high temps of a monitor)! 🌿

This sub adult is available now, is taming down incredibly quickly and is already tweezer/hand feeding despite only being here for a few days. This is an incredible opportunity to own one of my favourite monitors 😍

What a busy morning already!!! We’ve already had two vivarium deliveries, our live food and a small frozen top up, cork and substrate and there’s more to come to keep the shop fully stocked! 💚

Meanwhile I’ve been given extreme side eye from this crested gecko and our emerald tree skinks for waking them up 👀

Don’t forget the shop is OPEN UNTIL 7PM for those that can’t make it during the day or weekend, and there’s plenty of fresh bugs to go around! 🦗

BEARDED DRAGONS 🔥
Yes I know more beardies, BUT these have been extremely popular so I only had to get more!! And I’d say that these are absolutely stunning 😍

Bearded dragons are by far the most popular lizard we sell at Just Scales and you can see why. These guys have huge personalities, huge appetites and are completely adorable!

Can you believe these are all from the same clutch 🤯 shows how different genes can influence how a beardie looks, there is plenty of morphs to choose from and they’ll only get better with age 💚

Please note these will be available in the next couple weeks, they need time to settle here as well as put some more size on before going to their new homes. Happy to take deposits, proof of setup is required 😁

Happy Bank Holiday Monday everyone!!! Just Scales will be open until 2pm today (mainly as I don’t fancy boiling alive in my own shop 😅)!

Remember keep those enclosures cool today by:
☀️ Keeping an eye on thermostats! What works in winter may not work in summer and temperatures may have to be adjusted accordingly
☀️ Make sure water bowls are topped up and for those struggling to keep humidity up, place a water bowl in the vivarium and allow it to evaporate
☀️ Keep the room cool! Ambient temperatures of vivariums vary depending on the actual room temperature too, so keeping the room cool helps to regulate these temps
☀️ Keep glass terrariums out of direct sunlight (shut those blinds or curtains!)
☀️ Make sure there is proper ventilation, whether this means opening vents, using a small fan or cracking a door open slightly to allow extra cool air flow in

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday!!!! What a warm start to a bank holiday weekend ☀️

For those of you that have been here this week, you might have noticed I’ve been missing for a few days (for a much needed break 😅) but I am back and ready to see you all this weekend!!

A few huge and very exciting things are happening this week, keep an eye on the page for a huge ANNOUNCEMENT coming FRIDAY!! Some of you might remember what happened at a similar time last year (hint hint 👀)

Meanwhile the shop is fully stocked!! So if you’re after live food or a new scaly friend, why not make the most of the bank holiday weekend and pay us a visit 🦎
