A muzzle does NOT mean a dog is bad. 🐾

Muzzles are a safety tool, just like a lead or harness. Many dogs wear muzzles for lots of different reasons — they may be nervous, in training, recovering from trauma, or simply need extra support while they learn to feel safe in the world.

A properly introduced muzzle allows dogs to go on walks, enjoy enrichment, meet new experiences, and continue building confidence safely. Responsible owners and rescues use muzzles to protect both the dog and the people around them.

Judging a dog for wearing a muzzle is like judging a person for wearing a seatbelt. It’s about safety, management, and giving dogs the best chance to succeed ❤️

☀️ Joey’s Happy Paws – Warm Weather Update ☀️

🐾 Important Hot Weather Notice 🐾

With temperatures set to rise from Friday onwards, at Joey’s Happy Paws we will be taking extra precautions to keep all of our furry friends safe and comfortable.

🐶 Walks may be:

* Earlier in the morning
* Shorter where needed
* Focused on shaded, woodland or water areas
* Accompanied by plenty of fresh water and cooling breaks

🌡️ We will continue to monitor temperatures closely each day. If it becomes too hot for safe walks, group walks may need to be cancelled or adjusted. In these cases, we can offer:

* Toilet breaks
* Pop-in visits
* Garden time and enrichment sessions

Your dogs’ safety and wellbeing will always come first. While we all love the sunshine, hot pavements and high temperatures can quickly become dangerous for dogs.

I wanted to introduce myself and my brand new small business, Paws For Thought Pet Care. I’m Scarlett, a Veterinary Nurse with 12 years of experience working in practice. I’m based in Hampstead Norreys and now offering gentle, compassionate pet care services in the comfort of your pet’s own home across the local area.

My services are especially aimed at pets who:
