The mammoth job involving spreadsheets, paper diaries and my online booking system has been done for another few months 🙌🏻 Hoping I haven’t forgotten anyone 🫣

I am now working an extra day a week and do have some availability to possibly take on a handful of new clients from October. If you know anyone getting a new dog/puppy, please pass on my details ❤️

We are aware of the posts circulating regarding a dog that very sadly died after visiting a tulip festival.

We want to make it very clear that, despite what is circulating in the press and on social media, this dog did not die as a result of tulip poisoning.

As the UK’s only animal poison centre in the UK, we have managed over 1600 cases regarding tulips. Based on this evidence and our research, we can reassure the public that the clinical signs described in this case are not consistent with tulip toxicity. While tulips may cause gastrointestinal upset if ingested, severe cases are very uncommon. Other potential causes should be considered in this case.

If you’re concerned your pet may have been exposed to something harmful, please call Animal PoisonLine on 01202 509000. Veterinary professionals can call the VPIS on 020 7305 5055.

⭐️ 🧐 Fun Fact 🧐 ⭐️

Did you know Boxers were developed in Germany in the late 1800’s to hunt large game such as boar and deer, to herd cattle and bull-baiting (a very unpleasant blood sport)

I am guilty of severely failing in Boomers early development stages with not exposing him to large livestock close up. His inquisitive nature coupled with his natural guarding instinct meant I haven’t been able to trust him off-lead around the cattle at the common…until today 🙌🏻

Desensitisation through gradual exposure, plenty of positive reinforcement along with a solid recall and we’re now in a place where I can allow him the freedom and I trust that he’ll make all the right choices 👏🏼
