Well... after a very long night, I can finally introduce Sadie's beautiful puppies! ❤️🐾

I had a feeling yesterday that it was going to be "the night", and for once I was right! After keeping me guessing for several hours, Sadie welcomed an incredible nine healthy puppies into the world.

As a first-time mum, she took a little while to work out what on earth had just happened, but she has absolutely found her feet now. She's feeding them beautifully, caring for them wonderfully, and is currently snoring her head off while nine tiny puppies help themselves to breakfast. 🥹❤️

I'm so incredibly proud of her.

This litter has been two years in the planning, and it still doesn't quite feel real that they're finally here. Last night they were hopes, plans and dreams. Today they're a pile of warm, squeaky puppies in my dining room.

A huge thank you to everyone who has followed Sadie's journey, sent good wishes, and put up with my puppy updates over the last few months.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have nine puppies to admire and a very tired Labrador to spoil. 🐶🐾❤️

I think we’re all very grateful that today looks like the last really hot day for a little while ☀️🐾

Despite the heat, it’s actually been lovely getting the dogs out safely for their walks this week — lots of woodland walks, shady spots and plenty of swimming opportunities, which all the dogs have absolutely loved 🥰

I’ve also really appreciated a bit of extra family time over half term, and making the most of the sunshine while it’s been here.

Poor heavily pregnant Sadie is definitely feeling the heat more than the rest of us now, so she’s very much enjoying keeping cool at home while we wait for puppies to arrive next week 🖤🐶

Hope everyone’s managed to stay cool this week too!

☀️🐾 It has been hot today! 🥵

We got all of our walks out early this morning, made the most of the shade, and enjoyed plenty of paddling and swimming stops to help everyone stay cool 💦🌳

A little reminder as the temperatures climb – once dogs become too hot, it isn’t just uncomfortable, it can become dangerous very quickly. Please don’t feel pressured to keep to normal routines in this weather. Shorter walks, earlier starts, shade, enrichment at home, paddling pools and rest days are all absolutely okay ❤️

Today was very much a “welfare first, steps second” kind of day here 🐶

Hope everyone (human and canine!) is staying safe and keeping cool ☀️🐾

🌞 With temperatures set to soar this week, all walks will be moved to early mornings so all dogs are safely home before the hottest part of the day 🐾

As always, dog welfare comes first. Walks will be carefully planned with sensible routes, plenty of shade and access to water where needed to keep everyone safe and comfortable 😊

The hot weather doesn’t stop us getting out and enjoying ourselves – it just means we adapt and make sure the dogs are looked after properly 🐶

I currently have a small amount of availability for group walks in Newbury, Thatcham and surrounding areas 🐾

The next generation of West Berks Pet and Canine Services is officially on the way 🖤🐾

Poor Sadie is already feeling the effects of growing what appears to be approximately seventeen thousand puppies 😂

She’s gone from unstoppable running machine to falling asleep in increasingly ridiculous places, demanding extra cuddles, and looking deeply offended if anyone disturbs her beauty sleep.

We are very excited to meet these little ones in the summer, and very proud of our lovely girl already 🖤

(And yes, before anyone asks — she is still insisting on joining walks and pretending she is absolutely not tired at all.)

When I’m not out walking your dogs… this is pretty much where you’ll find me 🐴😄

Apparently “free time” just means a change of species.

I’ve always been happiest outside with animals, whether that’s a group of dogs charging around a field or a quiet walk like this. It’s not really a job to me, it’s just… life.

And I think that’s why the dogs fit in so well — they’re not just being walked, they’re part of the routine, part of the day, part of everything.

Although I am busy at the moment, I do still have a couple of spaces available for regular group walks, so if your dog would enjoy getting out and about with us, feel free to pop me a message 🐾

We’ve been making the most of this lovely weather this week ☀️🐾

Same walks, same routine… just with a bit more sunshine (which definitely makes it nicer for all of us!).

Lots of happy dogs out enjoying the fresh air, sniffing, playing, and just being dogs.

I run a calm, consistent service where dogs become part of a happy, well-balanced group — and owners know their pets are in safe hands 💛

🐾 A little business update… and some exciting news! 🐾
After many lovely years as WeWalk Pet Care, it’s a little sad to say goodbye to the old name… but I’m so excited to share that we are now becoming West Berks Pet & Canine Services! 💚
While the name may be changing, it’s still the same friendly face, loving care, and passion for happy, well-looked-after dogs 🐶
I’m currently welcoming enquiries for group dog walking, although availability is very limited! If you’re looking for fun, reliable walks with a friendly local dog walker, please pop me a message 🐕✨
There are lots of exciting things planned for the months ahead, so keep an eye on the page for updates!
