Walk This Way pet services Dog walking, Training, Pet Photography My business is aimed at dog walking service and training. That is not limited to just dogs and cats.

My name is Jana and after few years in the office, I have decided to swap the time behind a computer for my love of outdoors and animals. I am also dedicated to capturing a moment you can remember forever to preserve the special relationship with your furry friend in the form of pet photographic portraits. During our walks, I focus on games and mental stimulation suited to the pet's needs to make

them happy and comfortable. For this reason I am constantly studying animal behavior and training to get the best and positive experience I can pass forward. I currently hold certificate in Animal psychology, Dog walking professional certificate, Pet first aid certificate and I am Certified Dog Trainer. BOOK GIVEAWAY!** 🐾
I have so many books about dogs (as you can imagine) so I have decided that once I read them I would like to share them. My first book I have finally managed to finish is lovely stories of a spaniel shared by his friend and guardian in form of newspaper columns.

"Diary of a Dog-Walker" by Edward Stourton**.

About the Book
If you’ve ever walked a dog, you know that having a pup by your side means you can talk to anyone. This book takes you on wonderfully unlikely encounters through the eyes of Edward and his dog, Kudu. It's a witty, wise, and utterly irresistible look at the world from a dog-walker’s perspective.

In this book, Edward also mentions few other books he researched and one of then I also utterly love. So if you already red this one I can highly recommend "Inside of a Dog" by Alexandra Horowitz. Book that will totally change your perspective on your dog, even if you think you already know everything about dogs.

Thank you everyone who came along to the Lindores Abbey Destilery to have fun with your dog and support PADS. Great amount has been raised and I met so many amazing dogs and lovely people 🥰. And well.done to Caroline Caird who guessed 58 treats in the jar and was only 1 treat out. No tricks just pure filled jar of treats 👏

How different equipment affects our dogs, they behaviour and movement has been something I have been diving in to nearly every training session. Now you have the opportunity to be part of the science. Study being conducted in Edinburgh is looking for volunteers. We do better when we know better.

Dog study volunteers needed – can you and your dog help?

POSTING ON BEHALF OF RIVER McDONALD, CCAB

I am currently researching the impact of walking equipment (and harnesses in particular) on dog gait and movement, and still need lots more doggy volunteers to come over to the Bush Estate (EH25 9R, near Dick Vet) and be filmed walking on a loose lead in various bits of equipment (their own normal walking equipment, a collar and lead and three popular harness brands).

All kinds of dogs and all kinds of equipment welcome (and encouraged!). I am particularly keen to get more Labs, Bulldogs, Pugs, Dobermans, Greyhounds, Spaniels and Border Terriers in, but any dog that fits study criteria is welcome to sign up!

The video study will involve the following:

*Filling out a short questionnaire (specific to your dog and so we can fit them for the right size harness!);
*Attending SRUC at the Bush Estate (EH25 9RG) for around 1 hour on one of our filming days (or let us know when you are available)
*Giving your dog time to acclimatise to the study area – they can explore, sniff, practice walking up and down, say hi to us (or not, we won’t judge!) – we want them to be comfortable and happy;
*Walking your dog up and down on a loose lead in front of a camera;
*Repeating this a few times in their own equipment, a collar and lead and three publicly available harnesses.
*Pose for a photo or two (optional!).
*Head home knowing you and your dog might just have helped us make new scientific discoveries about how harnesses impact our best friends!

To take part in this study, please click the link below where you will find a detailed participant information sheet and consent form where we will ask you to complete information on your dog along with their measurements (so we can fit them for the correct size harness).

I know he has the skills, hidden somewhere under his past experience (or more of lack of) and genetics. With a little bit of time and patience to let him process and adjust, he is making great progress to see the world in a little bit more positive way and have 3rd (almost a) friend on his Christmas list. ❤️ Dixie, Ruffi, and Bali ❤️ Thank you my wonderful helpers and humans

Fun Favour Alert: Help My Pup Make Some Furry Friends! 🐶❤️

Hey friends, clients, and fellow dog lovers! If you've got a calm, friendly pooch who is happy engaging with you or sniffing activities (and enjoys a good walkie), I could use your help as a "stooge dog" team to train my own sidekick. My Toby is working on building confidence around other dogs, and we need some patient volunteers to make it happen!

Here's the low-key plan:
Session 1 (Easy Start): We'll tag along 5-10 meters behind you and your dog on a relaxed walk in quiet area, just getting used to the vibe from afar.

Progress Over Time: In follow-up sessions, we'll gradually move to walking parallel side-by-side, starting again at 5-10m distance and gradually closing in on quiet trail.

It'll take a few meet ups to build up, but it's a great way to get some steps in and have your daily walk a bit different! All we ask is to keep your pup on leash and not too shouty (unlike mine). Bonus: Free treats and endless gratitude from me (I can even trow in a free doggy walk)

Who's up for it? Please message me, or tag a friend with the perfect pup. Thank you very much for your consideration 🐕‍🦺🚶‍♀️
