Hey peeps!
The hot weather is finally upon us ☀️ (although probably not for too long!)
For the safety of your pups now and during future summer spikes, I will not be walking dogs in high temperatures.
Usually, this means anything 22°C–23°C or above.
However, puppies, elderly dogs, and certain breeds need close monitoring at even lower temperatures.
I always assess each dog individually because I would much rather be safe than sorry.
Many of you already know how I operate in the summer. When it gets too hot, we pivot.
This might mean shifting to an early 8:00 AM walk, and and an earlier 2nd walk IF temperatures allow or switching to a quick garden toilet break, or doing an indoor comfort visit instead.
Because I cannot fit everyone into the cooler early morning slot, (if doing only one walk) I want to say a huge thank you to my clients who are at home and understand when their walk is cancelled. This allows me to prioritise the early slots for dogs whose owners are out all day.

I have already contacted everyone affected for this coming Tuesday. Please check your messages or emails!
You might still see me out and about in the van! To help out, I may bring some doggies back to mine for a couple of hours of indoor chill time before dropping them home, rather than taking them on an actual walk.

Please remember that our dogs will not die from missing a walk, but they could from being dragged out in the heat.
