Following a post I saw recently where a dog walker was looking to sell on their business and client base, it made me wonder if people really know or care who’s walking their dogs?
So here I am to introduce myself and my own dogs and what we get up to in our spare time!
My name is Gemma and Iv been a dog walker for over 10 years, I previously also ran a doggy daycare.
Im also teach agility at my little club Agility All Starz
My life completely revolves around my dogs, I compete at dog agility, I currently have 2x grade 7 dogs Angus and Rayne who are both Toy Poodles.
We have been very successful this year and they have taken me to some fantastic competitions in the Netherlands and Italy 🏆🇳🇱 🇮🇹
Their mum Lola was my first toy poodle and first agility dog. She took me to Crufts both in the breed show ring and competing in Agility Teams on the big green carpet!
I also have a young toy poodle called Hurricane 🌪️ who’s is currently learning the agility ropes.
Over the past few years I have dropped into the Gundog world and spend a few weekends through the winter taking my standard Poodle River and my Working Cocker Spaniel Fisher beating, we also help out on a shoot in the week trying to keeping Pheasants where they should be 🙈🤣
I put in a vast amount of time and energy into training my dogs to be good at their jobs, I also put in a great deal of energy training my clients dogs with the knowledge that I have learnt over the years.
I love being a dog walker it is a fantastic job and it’s incredibly rewarding ❤️
