We say goodbye to Erik tomorrow at 1pm. The cancer came back and there are no miracles this time. His blood platelets count is zero. He doesn't know he is ill. Our hearts are shattered 💔💔

We've not posted many photos recently but Ed is now back in the saddle so here are a few dogs from the last week or so...
Lady: the sweetest little Staffie pup, it was such a treat working with her
Chewy: a winning mix of ShihTzu and pug - and that tongue!
Hamish: our favourite wee Scottie, he just bristles with attitude
Mags: half Westie, half Schnauzer, total lovebug!
All of these dogs are black and taking photos of black dogs is never easy but we think we've managed to capture their characters here :-)

Edsandtails Dogwash reopens for grooming today. We are still trying to get our heads around the loss of Ed's mum. We are both overwhelmed by all the kind and supportive messages we have had from clients and friends - it really does help and we thank you for reaching out.
Our little business has been closed for a large chunk of May and that means we have more than 20 cancelled dogs to accommodate. So inevitably we will need to reschedule some grooms. I will contact clients directly and get any cancellations rebooked as soon as I can.
For now, here's a photo of Roka, Mum's dog, who will be missing her every bit as much - if not more - than her humans.

Today we say goodbye to Ed's mum, my kayinanne. She left us yesterday and will be laid to rest this afternoon. She finally succumbed to the cancer she has been fighting for more than 2 years. She has fought like a warrior, but then she has been a warrior all her life. She was both mother and father to Ed and has left a huge hole in his life. Indeed, in all our lives. She was fearless and feisty, stubborn and strong, but also incredibly caring and kind. We will miss her more than she could ever imagine. This is how we will remember her...

... IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ...
Eds & Tails Dog Wash is currently closed due to family illness. Ed is in Turkey with his mum Gonul who has had a relapse. She is now on palliative care. We are scheduled to reopen on Wed May 28th BUT this will depend on her prognosis. I will contact that week's clients the weekend before to advise. If you need to contact us please do so via Messenger, What's App or email ([email protected]). Texting and calling to and from Turkey is costly and unreliable. Please keep fingers and paws crossed for us and especially for Gonul xx

Ed & Tails Dogwash is now closed for Christmas and we just wanted to wish all our clients - with two legs and four - a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years. A really big thank you for all your support over the last year, we couldn't do this without you and your lovely dogs. We are back in the van from January 9th. In the meantime, we've lent it to Santa for some last minute deliveries ...
