And that’s that — I’ve officially finished my pet sitting business 🐾
What a journey it’s been. I’m so grateful to everyone who supported me, trusted me with their pets, and recommended me along the way. Looking after your animals has been a genuine privilege and something I’ll always be proud of.
Thank you for all the kindness, support, and lovely memories (and all the cuddles!). This chapter may be closing, but I’ll always appreciate every part of it 🤍

After a lot of thought (and many emotions), I’ve made the very difficult decision to close my dog walking and pet sitting business.

This business has been such a huge part of my life, and it honestly hasn’t been easy to write this. Caring for your animals has never felt like “work” — it’s been a privilege to be trusted with such special parts of your lives and your routines. Every walk, every cuddle, every muddy paw and happy tail has meant more to me than I can put into words 🐾

The reason behind this decision is that I’m working towards a big personal dream of moving to Australia. To make that dream possible, I need to focus on building a strong and stable income so I can save and take that next step in my life.

To every single past and current client — thank you. Thank you for trusting me, supporting my small business, recommending me to others, and being so kind along the way. I will always be grateful for the animals I’ve looked after and the people I’ve met through this journey.

For all current clients, if you’d like any help finding alternative dog walkers, I’ll be more than happy to help pass you on and make the transition as easy as possible.

My last working day will Friday the 30th January.

This chapter will always hold a very special place in my heart 🤍

🎄 Christmas & December Dates Off 🎄

I’ve already had a few Christmas enquiries come in, so just a quick update on my availability over the festive period!

This year I’ll be taking some time off to enjoy the holidays with family and friends ❤️

✨ Christmas Break:
I’ll be off from Tuesday 23rd December and will return to work on Monday 5th January.

🎂 Birthday Time Off:
I’ll also be off on Wednesday 10th December and from Friday 12th – Monday 15th December for my birthday weekend 🥳

🐾 Dog Walking Cancellation Policy 🐾

As a small business, my schedule is carefully planned to give each dog the time and attention they deserve. To ensure fairness for all clients, please review the following cancellation policy:

❌ Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full amount of the booking fee.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice (but more than 24 hours) will be charged 50% of the booking fee.

📞 How to Cancel
• You can cancel via text or WhatsApp
• Please make sure you receive a reply confirming the cancellation.

🚨 Emergencies
• I understand that emergencies happen. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out—I’ll always try to be understanding on a case-by-case basis.

🐕 Weather & Safety
• If extreme weather (e.g. storms, heatwaves, ice) makes walking unsafe, I may cancel or shorten walks for your dog’s well-being. I’ll always notify you in advance and adjust charges accordingly.

This helps ensure a smooth and respectful working relationship for everyone involved—especially the pups! 🐶
This policy also affects any drop ins, and pets sits. Whether it’s dog, cat or small animal you have booked in with me! 🐶🐹🐰🐈

🐾 Payment Policy – Gwen’s Pet Services 🐾

To keep things running smoothly and ensure fairness for all clients, please take note of the following payment policy:
💳 Payment Terms:
Payment is required within 24 hours of receiving your weekly invoice or payment reminder (usually sent via text, messenger or whatsapp)
❌ Late Payments:
If payment is not received within this 24-hour window, I may be unable to hold your regular bookings for the following week. Priority will be given to clients who have paid promptly.
📅 Advance Planning:
To maintain a consistent and reliable schedule for all dogs in my care, timely payment helps me plan routes, availability, and ensure every pet receives the attention they deserve.
💬 Communication is Key:
If you’re ever having trouble making a payment on time, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’ll always do my best to accommodate where possible.

Hello everyone.
Please keep an eye out for your messages when I send out invoices. As a small business it’s a massive impact on me when payments aren’t being made☹️
I appreciate can be busy over weekends when I send them out, but over the weekends is when I prepare for the week following get fuel, treats, poo bags etc and I simply can’t do that if I haven’t received payments!
I don’t want to become strict on payments, but I unfortunately might have too.
Payments need to be made within the 24hours from when I send out the message.
