Holy smokes.. what a week its been down at LVA 🤯 Topped off with an accidental 100% water change on the remaining pond fish we have left.. doing too many things at once 😅

Anyways, the weekend is here, fish house and main shop are looking rather dapper ready foe you all this weekend 🥳

The fish house is nice and stocked with all sorts to suit everyones taste & the shop itself has all the stock you may need for your aquarium or pond 🤓

We are open all weekend, Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm for all your aquatic needs, and of course as ever, we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible 😘

Absolutely love this tank, always alert and ready for food, just the way fish should be 😍

Good evening all, the weekend has arrived and we’ve got a nice full shop for you all 😏

We’ve had 3 shipments this week, that include a whole array of species, to suit every tank! The fish house has one of the best selections i think its ever had currently, so you’ll be a fool to miss out on a trip down 😅

Lots of stock arrived this week too, meaning we got everything you’ll need for your hobby and definitely a few wants here and there too 😘

Albino Softshell Turtles 🐢😍

Damn i’m excited to have these in store… an aquatic turtle that can live amongst larger robust species, i’ve been searching a long time for this species and finally managed to secure a few 🥰

Already feeding on Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets 🤌🏼

So tempting to keep a hold of all of these for myself 🤣

Another week lay ahead, kicking off with 3 awesome livestock deliveries arriving today 🤯

Platinum Thai Silk Flowerhorn - Cichlasoma sp. ⚪️

What a gorgeous fish this really is… we’ve had loads of flowerhorns in our fish house over the years but never of this variety and what a way to kick it off 👌🏼

Flowerhorns are always very much a love/hate species, as a purist generally, hybridised fish like this don’t do anything BUT flowerhorns really do, i love their personalitys and the immense colouration they can have make them really stand out as a focal point to any fish room 😍

Red Cherry Tetra - Hyphessobrycon sp. Muzel Red Cherry 🍒

These gorgeous little tetra are relatively new to the hobby and derive from Brazil 🇧🇷

Sporting a very intense red/orange colouration to the body when they mature and settled, these are a beautiful sight in a little shoal. Looking very similar to the Orange Bolivian Tetra (Hyphessobrycon Pulchripinnis) but the Red Cherry have a completely red caudal fin, where the Bolivians are transparent.

We have a nice little group of these available at the minute but i doubt they’ll hang around for long so get in touch to avoid disappointment 📧

Following on from this mornings post, it was great to see one of our long term customers, Darren, that we don’t get to see that often, and amongst a whole plethora of varying fishy topics, Darren showed me this video of his Electric Eel 😍

Darren purchased this Electric Eel from us in our very early days and its great to see it doing so well in his care, pushing 3ft in length this is a sensational specimen, and no he has never been zapped by it 😂

We always love seeing upto date pictures and videos of fish we’ve had here in the past, so always feel free to show us! Thank you again to Darren for sharing this with us today and good to see you my friend!

Electric Eel - Electrophorus Electricus ⚡️

This is a dream fish for many aquarists, but i can only stress the importance of taking care when owning one of these magnificent beasts. They have the ability to produce 860 volts which they utilise to stun their prey.

Reaching large adult sizes, these do require large aquariume, but do not need large or vigorous flow as they naturally live in very tanned and sluggish waters and these also have the ability to breathe air from the water’s surface.

Well what a week we’ve had.. we’ve had 3 excellent shipments of fish through our doors this week and damn have we got some cracking fish in store at the mo 🤌🏼

A few highlights are pictured below, including Platinum Thai Silk Flowerhorn, Electric Eel (what a fish that is btw), Albino Silver Arowana, Tiger Dollars and a stunning L24 Red Fin Cactus Plec plus a shed load more for you all to come and see this weekend 🫡
