We couldn't agree more with every word π€
I love my job β but I want to be honest about what it really involves.
Dog grooming is not βplaying with cute dogs all day.β Itβs long hours on my feet, lifting and supporting dogs of all sizes, bending and twisting repeatedly, using my hands, wrists, shoulders, and back nonstop to groom safely and correctly.
Over time β especially during busy periods like Christmas the physical strain adds up. Back pain, sore joints, exhaustion, and burnout are very real in this industry. Many groomers donβt make it long-term due to injury.
Many groomers develop:
* carpal tunnel / tendonitis
* chronic back or shoulder pain
* grip weakness
* migraines or neck issues
This is why my appointments are limited, policies are in place, and realistic expectations are so important.
Iβm incredibly grateful for every client who trusts me with their dog β I just hope this helps give a little insight into the work behind the scenes π€
Thank you for trusting me with your pets π
