The club table was out on Saturday with 2 girls on exhibition and another in competition where she gained her 3rd certificate, making Kitten Champion at just her 2nd show which is amazing. This facilitated training opportunities for three judges working towards the Turkish Van list.

Sadly the male kitten had to stay home with a nose scratch, which is now healed.

The club table will be out again in 2026 what this space

Three female Turkish Van kittens, 14 weeks old, were on Exhibition and part of a judging tutorial at the Shorthaired Cat Society yesterday. Thank you to Mrs E Culf for teaching and to the show management for allowing the BAC to offer this opportunity. Thank you to Ms Slater for this video; she is now the proud owner of the middle kitten in the blue cat bed.

The Turkish Van Breed Advisory Committee are thrilled to confirm the following appointments to GCCF FULL JUDGE
Mrs J Smith an extremely experienced Judge across many sections and Mr N Gilbert a Turkish Van breeder judge.

Wonderful to see the breed making a comeback with Turks out at several shows in 2024, the breed table at the supreme with a Van and a Van Kedisi (white self) on exhibition for meet the breeds.

Our club show, partnered with South West South Western Counties Cat Club and Kernow Cat Club Cat Show, is now on the calendar for 24 August 2025.

The club was dormant during COVID but we are back and working hard getting Vans back out at shows and supporting new breeders get established.
