🌈 Rainbow Bridge Day 🌈

Today, we pause to remember and celebrate the life of our much-loved friends who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The bond we share with our pets is truly special, and their pawprints remain forever on our hearts.

🐾 First ever vet visit! 🐾

A very warm welcome to Poppy at our Kippax clinic! 🩷🐶

Poppy met vet Fiona and client care associate Jo, who were completely besotted with her. 🥰

The consultation was covered under the Pet Health for Life Plus Plan. This gives her owners peace of mind that they have unlimited veterinary and nursing consultations as part of the monthly payments.

Meet our prickly patient! 🦔

Little Rosie attended a health check with veterinary surgeon Jeni after her owner noticed her weight steadily decreasing. A thorough examination was performed including: listening to her heart and lungs, checking her teeth, and palpating her abdomen.

Next diagnostic steps ⬇️
Sending off a faecal sample 💩, increasing her food intake, and blood sampling.

Have you heard of Canine Chronic Ulcerative Stomatitis (CCUS)?

Leo was diagnosed with this condition after having biopsies, along with efforts by his owner and our dental nurse Cass to control the amount of plaque. This condition is painful, as it causes lesions and ulceration in Leo's mouth when his tissue comes into contact with plaque. His owner noticed he was becoming reluctant when brushing his teeth. Brushing his teeth is something Leo needs daily, and his reluctance was a sign that he needed a professional clean.

This gentle giant came in for a stage 1 dental cleaning, carried out by our dental nurse Cass under the direction of a vet. His deep clean involved removing plaque from all the little nooks and crannies including under his gumline, which home brushing is unable to reach.

His ongoing treatment will be managed by our team and his owners to ensure Leo is as comfortable as possible.
