This gift really blew me away.

I was given this today from the lovely Phill Michael Smith.
The dog in the picture is the beautiful Alfie and unfortunately he passed last year 😪
The picture is a drawing he had done of him and in the little glass bird is some of Alfie's ashes.
I'm honestly so touched he wanted me to keep apart of him. He will always be a special boy to me as he was my first customer at Worthy Dogs so I've spent alot of time with him.
I miss him dearly but now have such a lovely reminder of him to keep ❤🌈

As we step into 2025, I wanted to take a moment to share some important updates and reminders to ensure the best experience for both you and your furry friends.

🐾 Pricing Restructure

To keep up with rising costs, including electricity and grooming products, there will be a slight price adjustment for some services. (Please note, if you're already on the new pricing structure, this won't affect you.)

Matted Coat Policy 🐕

My top priority is ensuring that your dog’s grooming experience is stress-free and pain-free. Brushing out matted coats for over 15 minutes can cause significant discomfort. In line with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, matted coats will be shaved off with a short clip to safely remove all matting.

If matting is found during your dog’s groom, I will:

1. Inform you and provide advice.

2. Proceed with a full clip-off if necessary, documenting the process with photos to clarify the need for this action.

3. Apply an additional charge starting from £10, due to the extra time and wear on equipment.

Tips to Prevent Matting at Home:

Regular Brushing: Use the right brushes, detangling spray, and brushing techniques to keep your dog's coat healthy.

Routine Grooming: Dogs with continuously growing hair should be groomed every 6–8 weeks. Prebooking appointments ensures consistency and avoids matting.

Manageable Coat Length: If daily brushing isn’t feasible, opt for a shorter haircut that’s easier to maintain. Longer coats require more frequent attention to prevent tangles and matting.

Pricing Updates for 2025

Please familiarise yourself with the following:

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% missed appointment fee, added to your next booking.

Matting Charge: From £10.

Flea Charge: From £10.

Extended Grooming Intervals: Prices are based on regular 6- 8 week grooming schedules. If left longer, additional charges may apply.

Appointment and Collection Times

Please aim to arrive promptly at your appointment time (not too early or late).

Late collections will incur a fee of £5 per 15 minutes. (I operate a one-on-one policy, so timely collection is essential to keep things running smoothly.)
