☀️🐶 HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS 🐶☀️
As the temperatures rise, please keep a close eye on your furry friends. Dogs can overheat very quickly, and heatstroke can become life-threatening in a matter of minutes.
🚨 Signs of Heatstroke in Dogs:
• Excessive panting
• Thick drooling
• Bright red gums or tongue
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Wobbling or collapsing
• Glazed eyes
• Difficulty breathing
🌡️ How to Keep Your Dog Safe:
🐾 Walk early morning or late evening
🐾 Avoid hot pavements — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws
🐾 Always provide fresh, cool water
🐾 Never leave dogs in cars, even for a few minutes
🐾 Offer shade and cool resting areas
🐾 Use cooling mats, frozen treats, or paddling pools
❗If you suspect heatstroke:
Move your dog somewhere cool immediately, offer small amounts of water, pour cool (not ice-cold) water over them, and contact your vet straight away.
Please remember — grooming appointments may also take a little longer during hot weather to ensure every dog stays calm, cool, and comfortable 💛
Stay safe and keep those tails wagging! 🐕☀️
