There has been some news coverage about a new outbreak of Avian Influenza.

Unfortunately, swans seem to be particularly affected by this disease, with other waterfowl such as geese and ducks also vulnerable.

We have currently had no confirmed cases in our parks but as a matter of precaution, please follow the below advice:
👉 Do not touch or move any sick or dead birds
👉 Do not touch feathers or surfaces where there are bird droppings
👉 Do not feed the waterfowl - this encourages the birds to gather, increasing the risk of the virus spreading
👉 Report any sightings of dead birds in our parks to us on [email protected] or 01908 233600 and we will arrange removal and contact the relevant agencies.

We are carefully monitoring the situation and are following the latest Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) guidance.
